After several weeks without news to the contrary, we have to acknowledge the possibility that our old friend LuvDemWhoppers has died. A report of his death came to us on December 1st from Roxanne Miller, who heard it from another woman who claimed to have been contacted by someone discharging LDW's final affairs.
Our attempts to verify his situation have failed. We hope that he’s still around, but that possibility seems increasingly remote, so we dedicate this thread to him even while we hope that he’s still happily cuddling strippers somewhere in Florida.
During the first few years he was with us, LDW was often unhappy. His posts were sometimes ill-tempered, and it was pretty easy to get the wrong idea about him. But as time went on, he seemed to find some happiness in his life, and he was willing to share it with us.
In 2011, I sent this PM to Palomine:
I'm growing concerned that LuvDemWhoppers may be
a genius. His mundane everyday posts are like little shards
of fractured poetry.
LDW could boil a complex, nuanced thought down to a scant half-dozen load-bearing words that lived somewhere in the space between beat poetry and blues lyrics. His posts were playfully and diabolically terse, effortless as a shrug, cool as a pack of Newports, and tight as your first date's pussy. You had to pay attention to get the full benefit of his writing, but when you did, you could see the humor and intelligence and goodwill lighting him up from the inside.
It appears that his health was failing during the years he spent with us. He made a few comments about it in the forum and was more open about it in private, but publicly, he preferred to write about the things that made him happy: racing, engineering, aviation, women. Especially women, and if they were busty, and if they wore stockings and garterbelts and heels, well hell, nothing beat that. If this is a forum about appreciating women, he was right where he belonged, because he was awfully good at it.
LuvDemWhoppers has been quiet now for almost a month. Maybe one day he’ll just show up again with a good story to tell about it. If so, parade. If not, remember.
