Just a quick question about saline bags.. Does anyone know if using saline which has an expiry date of Feb 2014 would be a problem?

Saline is salt water, salt has no expiration date neither does water. Also there is nothing in that solution for bacteria to feed on and those bags are sterile .So my guess would be no.

As BacE said an expiration date doesn't make sense. Additionally there isn't much difference if the saline is in the saline bag or in an implant when it expires. But on the other hand, I know from myself sterile saline isn't too expensive (I got an infusion 20+ years ago of 3 litre of 0,9% saline because I had an explosion traumata with the danger of loosing the ability ot hear on one ear). So if you want to be on the safe side order new saline.

Should be okay as long as they've been stored in a cool dry place out of the light.  Ace Surgical and Atlantic Medical are where I get mine, and you don't need a prescription.  They are out right now (there's a saline shortage right now), but they should have more in a couple of weeks.  Be sure and use .9% sodium chloride for injection USP.

Actually water and salts is all some organisms need to survive, algae may develop there, if there's faint light source and there are chemotrophic bacteria that could survive even in the absence of light. So yes the growth of these organisms may be slow, but it may happen.

The saline has been kept in its packaging (the saline bags have an outer clear protective bit of packing as well) and in the original box it came in in the corner of the bathroom (no window in there though but it's clean and dry).. Still usable?  

I don't mind buying more saline but have just found it difficult to find a place that ships to the UK.. the one I did find wanted nearly $200 shipping for a couple of bags costing 3 of 4 dollars each.. It was ridiculous..

I suppose they could enter thru microfissures. After all spontaneous generation from nowhere is impossible lol.

Can't get saline bags at the pharmacy.. and not without a prescription..

Can buy small bottles of saline but those aren't any use to me..

Your PS should be able to give you a prescription.  If not, I did find some sites on the internet that don't need it.  But, saline is in short supply right now, so they are out.  DM1234, I sent you a PM.

I'm trying to book my next surgery now and I've been asked what I want to use.. I think it will have to be saline as silicone is just so hard to get hold of over 2000cc but I'm scared they will be too firm..

The implant in that clip looks fine in terms of squeeziness  I love Lacy Wildd's look as well.. Does anyone know what implants she has?

What is your preference size over haptic? If it is size and you can't get it with silicone done, then you have no other choice.
If you go for smaller silicone, but in fact you was searching for size, then I will bet with you that you already plan the next operation trying to get what you want.
As you know there is an effect that most after surgery found out they went to small.

So safe yourself the time, pain and money and do what is more important to you.
