Yet,another **29** gets away with it!
« on: September 12, 2014, 03:06:42 AM »
I really thought South Africa would be different than the US when it comes to viewing and judging **28** on trial for murder.
Oscar Pistorius was found not guilty of murdering his girlfriend,Reeva Steenkamp.Don't give me that "he can still be sent to prison on a lesser charge" stuff.Even if he does then he won't serve more than 5 years. So,in other words,he got away with murder.I thought I would give him the benefit of the doubt until he was crying and throwing up in court everyday like a little girl who was coached by his lawyer.
I could not find one person that I asked who thought that he was innocent.I hope the next competition that Oscar is in that another competitor trips him and his fake legs go flying up into the air.
I guarantee you that wherever Oscar is tonight,he is celebrating and Robert Blake is hosting the party. If OJ wasn't in prison then I'm sure he would be there high fiving Oscar, too.

There was article online about this that said only 11% of people charged with murder in South Africa get found guilty.

Such people never get away with it. Case in point: where is Orenthal James Simpson right now? How about Robert Blake?

Karma is a bitch. Trust and believe it.

**28** have been getting lenient treatment for a very long time. Errol Flynn raped a girl back in the 1930's and didn't serve time. The expression " In like Flynn " where someone gets away with it comes from that.  :(

People, including **28** and regular folks both, get away with all kinds of stuff all the time, including murder. Ours is an imperfect system, that generally errs on the side of not-guilty if there's doubt or if sufficient doubt can be manufactured. Which is probably as it should be (to keep the wrongly convicted to a minimum) but it doesn't make it any easier to stomach. To be sure, any defendant of means (which normally includes celebs) will stand a better chance of beating the rap even if they're guilty simply because money buys man-hours (of legal representation and related support services).

The charge was statutory rap3, involved two girls, took place in 1943, and he was acquitted by a jury. Among other things, he had a support group which included William F. Buckley, Jr.

And the derivation of "In like Flynn" probably wasn't from the trial, since it was used in print three years earlier: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Like_Flynn
