I think(guess) it's more a matter of giving the people what they seem to want/self promo than being insecure.  As someone mentioned before, she popped up on another site and didn't seem dismayed by the type of attention she's been getting at all.   I just hope that doesn't encourage people to be directly crude when they get the chance.
