Reminds me of the rack ( Navy term for bunk bed for you civilians ) which I had while serving on the USS Puffer ( SSN - 652 ) which was appropriately called a coffin rack because it was located by the bulkhead ( wall ) separating the emergency diesel on one side and the sanitary tank air purifying carbon canister vent on the other side plus a rack right above mine and the deck right below so I was completely surrounded while sl3eping with the exception of a slight access/exit access at the bottom 1/3 of the rack. The racks there were so scrunched up that I could not roll over in my b8ck and it was only 18" by 72" in size. Good thing I was/ am a shrimp and was able to fit in it because when I reported on board I was a junior man and I had no choice.
I'm sure Madison has a choice though.
