I hope, that this is OK as science fiction.  It seems certainly to me that it is in character, even though the film (Machete Kills) is instead called "exploitation film".  If not allowed, I have other to replace it  :P

I think it should be okay.  After all, it is fiction and there is science involved in the making of a huge caliber machine gun bra.  ;)   ;D

Thanks to Captain Nemo for Deadly Desdemona and to Cebe for Selena, the moon's warrior (the latter sounds a little strange: I'd prefer moon warrior, lunar warrior, warrior of the moon, defender of the moon...). But in any case, both entries qualify under the theme science fiction: they are posted in the UG @

Speaking of which: "science fiction" is not clearly defined, but it should be clear that the simple reference to science and fiction is far too broad.  A work of fiction that features elements of science is not necessarily science fiction. Think of the Sherlock Holmes stories, any of the CSI series, even Grey's Anatomy: would anyone think of these as sci-fi?  Science fiction -- good science fiction -- is about ideas, imagination, invention.  Of course a thrilling story is great too.

When asked about sci-fi, many people think of space opera, e.g  Star Trek, Star Wars, Buck Rogers: entertaining stories with cool effects, but not usually much thought-provoking material as you might find in, say, Childhood's End or Red Planet. And space opera is fine for this contest. Still, I am reminded of a notice I saw in Galaxy magazine years ago:

Thank You for Leia armoured and armed, Captain. It is most certainly accepted, and I'm posting it in the Users' Gallery.

Whoah, the best Leia that I ever seen!

Thanks for your response, Cebe.  However, you still haven't told me what you want for your first entry. "The moon's warrior" is technically OK, but it sounds strange.  The best to my ears would be "defender of the moon" but if you really want "warrior" in the title, how about one of the others I suggested -- or something entirely new.  ???
