I just watched / listened to the original King Kong.
I have to say this, in a way I must be a bad person, or EXTREMELY practical.
The camera man on the ship in a vain greedy ass. I would have left him on Skull Island. He is more than willing to trad Miss Blondie to the locals just cause he want to shoot film. The locals of course give her to Kong.
Here is where I am Mr. Practical.
Crew "Hey we have to go rescue her."
Me " Why, that is a 50-60 ft tall Ape. Nice knowing her, hope they're happy. "
20 men on the crew go after her. She's easy to track with all her screaming, I'm surprised Kong didn't dump her. Of those 20 that go out to get her only 2 make it back.
Remaining Crew Guy " We need more guys to go out to rescue her "
Me " Why? "
Crew Guy " The rest are dead, It's a hostile land. there's actual living Dinosaurs out there. "
Me " Sucks to be her, I'm going home. "
Camera Guy caused more death and grief because of his greed " Lets capture Kong and take him back, We'll be millionares " Over half the boat crew - dead. Death and destruction in NY City cause he has to bring the ape back.
I would have left him and the chick on Skull Island.
It would have been better to set up a tour company to take them and leave the tourists on Skull Island. Come on actual live Dinos! Oh it's a one way trip. Kong Likes new play toys.
What other old movies have you watched and thought, my god that cast is stupid. *I am not talking about some of the new slasher movies. Those characters deserved to die.*
