Yes , of course, just like you probably keep the heat on the wintertime.
I never have any heating on at night. I don't think many people do, but I could be wrong. When my parents first had central heating put in they'd have it come on in the early morning and go off in the evening. I've always done the same. Occasionally I may feel cold in bed, or if getting out for pee, but mostly it is comfortable. My bedroom gets down to 10C on some really cold nights.
Now, I do keep my thermostat at a higher temperature than most since I don't want to run it all the time and wear it out too quickly.
I am the same in reverse - I want my boiler to last as long as I can. I have the thermostat set to 18C.
