at 9:25PM or 2125 hours, we are at 78F or 25C with 67% humidity which is downright weird for us but then we are under severe thunderstorm alert with chance of flooding in the low lying areas of the valley such as the world famous Las Vegas Strip. Lake Mead gets quite a bit of its water from Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.  I think it is winter snow melt.

You are correct. Lake Mead is an artificial lake as it was created after the Hoover Dam was finished and the reservoir filled way back in 1935. At present at 3:40 AM or 0340 hours, it is a very mild 79F or 26C with an extremely high for us 71% humidity. The high is expected to be 100F or 38C at around 5PM or 1700 hours with mostly clear skies.
