Good point. It is probably more of an issue in the higher latitudes.   Sunrise is 0722 - sunset is 1628 here at this time of year.

I wish we would just keep daylight savings year-round. It's getting pitch black dark at 4:40PM or 1640 hours right now and by December 21 it will be dark at 4:25PM or 1625 hours. Geographically, we are on the very far East of the Pacific Time Zone, Mountain Time Zone to our East is only 40 Miles away by road so Standard Time sucks for us as far as I'm concerned.
