I'm seeing more transitional issues appearing.

If you click on an attached image to enlarge it, then right-click on it and select "Save Image As..." the filename is rendered as "index.php.jpg".

If you right-click on the link below an attached image, then select "Open Image in New Tab", the image appears in the new tab like normal in full size, but when you  right-click on it and select "Save Image As..." the filename is rendered as "index.php.jpg".  If you instead do a Command-S, the filename is rendered without the filename extension (.jpg, .png, etc.). The image does get saved and you can always rename the file accordingly, but this is an extra step.

The URL of the expanded image now shows that it's being stored on Amazon Web Services servers.

I wondered why I could save without error, pictures I know I'd downloaded to the same folder before.  Thanks for the head's up.

Amazing, a site without a link to support for reporting bugs.  And I thought those sites went out of business over 20 years ago.

I am beginning to be surprised the forum still exists at all.  It doesn't earn the site any money, which I believe is the main reason it's been let go so much.  I will not be shocked if the BEA owner decides to just pull the plug and put the money needed to run the server and such to other pursuits.   :(

I would pay just for the forum. In fact, I never use the rest of the site. If that's what it takes . . .

It would be awesome if he just checked in here once in a while and let us know what the friggin' situation is!   >:(

Yesterday on October 15, I went over 32,000 posts but this morning I find out all 21 posts that I did then were gone this morning of the 16th and the three hours of forum participation were also gone. Anybody else suffered from this ?  ??? >:(

I dunno if I lost any posts, sol, but I'm seeing a lot of threads tagged as "new" that I know I looked at the last post in them yesterday.

I stand corrected.  I lost 2 posts in Anime, Hentai, and Manga.  So I may have lost a couple more in other places.

And for the past couple days, after viewing a thread and using the back button to return, it fails to show you have viewed that thread.  It is like a snowball effect, one little problem leading into more and more, until the whole site crashes for weeks on end once again.  So many check engine lights coming on, each indicative of a small easily fixed problem, yet all totally ignored until the impending total engine failure.  Good strategy.

I came in yesterday, and gave up within minutes, as 95% of the pictures weren't viewable.  I'd just see a .jpg file name, and if I clicked on it, I got an very complicated error message.  I haven't checked if I can view pictures today yet.  And the new flags don't go away for me when I use back either, to get them to go away I have to either return to the main forum with the 'go' button, or keep refreshing the page.

I returned to the forum this afternoon and my avatar is no more. It was there this morning but I guess they are still " Fixing " the forum and this site.  :P :(

Yesterday afternoon/evening I was able to log in but not add any new posts. Seems to be more normal this morning, the avatars are back and we can post new posts again even though the " new " thingy doesn't automatically reset. Anyways, maybe someday it will be 100% again. I also noticed that Salem is back after a 10 day absence. And before I forget, the time of the forum has changed. It used to be four hours ahead of where I live but it is now one hour behind. I wonder if that's going to be permanent. Keeping fingers crossed.  :P

I don't know what he is doing, he ignore 3 alert of name calling and then ban me for that, and then all of my post with BE video work taken down and then follow by this mess?!?!?
"Yesterday, Reince Priebus called this whole story a 'nothing burger,'" he said. "Well these emails have turned it into an all-you-can-prosecute buffet."

I noticed the same things, Sol; avatars are back and now instead of GMT, it is CST.  A new server location?  Using Amazon?  Perhaps a new IT crew?  I believe the original owner was from England, which explains the time for decades, but I am just happy that they are paying attention to the problems before the inevitable snowball.

I can relate; when I first returned to the BEA, I was attacked relentlessly by a few people that didn't like what I was saying or the length of my posts; others deeply appreciated what I was saying.  I found this to be extremely stupid as no one was **77** them to read the posts, more than half never even contributing to the thread they were posted but to attack people like Sol & I for posting frequently.  Ironically, they only complained about one thread while Sol posts nearly daily on multiple threads.  This intolerant woke mentality appears to finally have ended, those people having left or been banned.  Though I have no idea as to your circumstances, it is a shame when we cannot all come here and politely talk about the things we find so fascinating.
