Yesterday afternoon/evening I was able to log in but not add any new posts. Seems to be more normal this morning, the avatars are back and we can post new posts again even though the " new " thingy doesn't automatically reset. Anyways, maybe someday it will be 100% again. I also noticed that Salem is back after a 10 day absence. And before I forget, the time of the forum has changed. It used to be four hours ahead of where I live but it is now one hour behind. I wonder if that's going to be permanent. Keeping fingers crossed. 

Same thing for me: yesterday any attempt to reply to any posts, quote any posts, view any attachments, etc. would bring you back to the Forum's home page. Happy to see that that has been fixed. Happy to see that the avatars are back.

New problem related to saving photos:

If you click on the link below an attached image, or if you right-click the link and choose "Open Link in New Tab/Open Link in New Window", a dialog pops up and tries to save the image as a DMS file...whatever that is.

If you click on the thumbnail of the attached image to enlarge it, right-click on the image, and choose "Open Link in New Tab/Open Link in New Window", same thing. 

If you click on the thumbnail of the attached image to enlarge it, right-click on the image, and choose "Save Image As...", it tries to save the file with the filename index.php.jpg - so you have to rename it to what you want before saving (in this case to "032D492D-C900-40B7-85E7-17D441E3A684.jpeg").

The Bookmarks function is still missing, and clicking on the "Support" link still takes you to Zendesk's "Oops, this help center no longer exists" error page.

More issues:

clicking on the attachment when the attachment is video file (.MP3, .MP4, .MOV, etc.) takes you to a page with an XML error, whether the attachment is recent or old. So it's impossible to download attachments if they're videos.

This is driving me crazy.

For some reason today, it's become very difficult for me to get any of the post pictures to go full size when I click on them.

Unfortunately, due to further violations of the rules, Sol has been banned for 1 month. You guys don't really notice these sorts of things, but Sol has broken a LOT of rules in the last year. I don't know whether he forgets them, isn't paying attention or just posts a bit carelessly, but rules are rules and we all have to abide by them. I hope to see him posting up a storm when he comes back too.

I don't know whether he forgets them, isn't paying attention or just posts a bit carelessly, but rules are rules and we all have to abide by them. I hope to see him posting up a storm when he comes back too.

Ah, I have been wondering about his absence.  Sol is a very active and enthusiastic person, posting on a host of threads, and though I see just a small occasional infraction now and then, when you examine the depth of his enthusiasm and scope of his posting, it is quite likely that he is unaware of most violations until after the fact.  Yet Sol is the kind of guy the BEA needs; not condemning or arguing with others, always playing nice, even ignoring rude remarks directed at him when someone objects to his postings, honest, and showing a lot of participation, something people have pointed out as lacking in recent years.  It is just my humble opinion and I have no idea as to whether he has ever had such a ban before, but isn't 30 days a long time for such a BEA supporter, especially if this is a first time ban?  The only infraction I noticed was his inadvertent posting 2 pictures on the same thread within a single week; I doubted it was intentional but just having forgotten as the previous picture had fallen to the previous page.  Accidents happen with enthusiasm.  Feels bad, man.

Here's a funny one: occasionally, when I click the "next" button, it takes me to a page in the thread that definitely isn't the newest post.
For example, when I clicked on "next" on the Tessa Fowler thread, it took me to the top of page 26, when the new posts were on page 29.
I know darn well I've been checking that thread every time a new post goes in it, so it's not just going to the last time I checked it.

I did have a Word Document where I logged all his violations, it was pretty lengthy.

Thanks for the explanation, Salem, and sorry it had to result in such a mess.  I know I once broke the OF posting rule, simply because I posted a picture Beshine posted in her blog and didn't know it was a OF picture (something I now know how to differentiate); thought it was fair play since it was in her blog.  With Sol posting in so many threads, I'm sure there is room for things I don't notice, and keeping track is no doubt difficult.  I guess the lesson is to either curb your enthusiasm or pay more attention to what you are posting, which is a bit difficult when different threads have different rules and if you post like Sol, that is across numerous threads in short order.  Hopefully he will have a lot stored up to share in a couple weeks; just spread out the pictures Sol, we all want to see them, but we can wait.
