Back in 1990, I traded my 1984 S-10 pickup truck for a 1990 Chevrolet S-10 4X4 Blazer with a 4.3liter V-6 engine when I was stationed from 1988 to 1992 at the Trident Naval Submarine Base in Bangor, Washington. The 4-wheel drive did come in handy once in a while. This one is similar to the one I had, which was also all red.  :)

My fifth car was a blue Chevy Lumina. I can't remember the year just that it was in the 90s and I got it cheap. Can't remember if it was a coupe or a sedan. I had it for 2 years I think before I got into an accident and it wasn't worth repairing. Sorry about the lack of photo but I just can't remember much about it.

Talking shit cars, I had a Morris Ital, the worse car I have ever owned. It was built by when the British car industry was in steep decline. Actually quite reliable, but it handled like a shopping cart as it had torsion bar front suspension.

What year was that Morris?  Looks like something from the 80s.  I’m surprised you called it reliable because British cars of that era were not particularly known for their reliability.

Back in 1997, I traded my 1990 S-10 Blazer for a small cab 1997 S-10 pickup truck with a 4.3 Liter V-6 engine and it was of this color of the photo. I wish GM would bring back the compact trucks. The new Colorado is huge compared to this one. I moved to Las Vegas back in November of 1995 after I retired from the Navy.

I would tend to agree with you, Sol. My Dad used to have little B series Mazda pickup that he bought from my brother in the early 80s. We all loved that little truck! As I recall it got pretty decent gas mileage too.

Anyway my sixth car was a light blue Pontiac Sunfire coupe, a '96 I think. A nice little car. I drove it into the early 2000s
It was a lighter shade than this photo but otherwise the pic is pretty accurate.

Back in 1998, my mother moved to Las Vegas from West Covina, California, after some asshole gangbanger sprayed some graffiti near where she lived and it frightened her since West Covina was in a slow state of decay. She worked at a near hospital, Queen of the Valley, and had recently retired and she sold her house and moved to a 55+ Senior community here in Vegas. She owned at the time a maroon 1993 Chevrolet Celebr1ty four door sedan, and she lived about 15 miles from where I did at an apartment complex not too far from the strip. I would visit her often and of course, I never let her know about my porn predilection. Anyways, if you guys might remember how there was this talk about the upcoming Y2K computer disaster on January 1, 2000, and how it turned out to be nothing, well, my mom did suffer a disaster that day. She had invited me to her house for a New Years celebration and as I drove to her house and I entered, I didn't smell the turkey cooking and the house was quiet. I then stepped into the kitchen and found her on the floor with her pajamas and bathrobe on and I noticed the spilled coffee was dried out, so I figured it had happened early in the morning. I had worked that day in the Luxor from 7AM to 7PM since Security personnel HAD to work during New Years. She was breathing but I had no idea why she would not respond. I contacted 911 and when the paramedics arrived, one stated that it looked like she had a stroke. She was transported to the hospital and the Doctor in charge there told me she had suffered a stroke on her left side of the brain and so her right side would be paralized. My mother became wheelchair bound, was unable to speak and could no longer take care of herself. Afterwards, I had her car modified so that it could carry a electric wheelchair and I moved into her house so that I could take care of her since after seeing several of those senior warehouses, I decided not to put her in one. In 2005, I sold my pickup truck to my brother who then gifted it to his daughter who then two months later, she wrecked it and the insurance company totaled it. In 2007, my mom's car was dying and so I bought a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu and since it was hard to put my mom into a pickup truck, I bought a sedan. Mom was only 5 foot tall, and I had to pick her up in order to put her in a vehicle. So, a low riding sedan was easier. Mom died in 2010. This photo is exactly what that vehicle looked like.

I will save you all a pic of my ‘77 Honda Civic, as it basically looked like my first one, except it was yellow.  If I ever find a real picture of that car after I painted it with spray cans, I’ll post it here.  It’s rather difficult to describe. I created graded bars of color in ever increasing thickness from deep red to yellow that ran up from the hood and top.  The sides were black, and as I was a film student, I thought the fuel filler door on the side looked like a sprocket and so left it yellow and replicated the same rounded off square across the black sides like one sees on a strip of film.  On the hatch I taped off the words “Heavy Metal” ala the magazine.  Goodness knows what my mother thought of that car. LOL
The only major difference between that car and my ‘76 white one was that the 77 had an automatic choke (!) and a wonderful 5-speed.  Probably one of the best cars I ever owned until some ass went thru a red light and I plowed into him.

This is the wrong color, as my ‘74 Jeep CJ5 was rust colored (VERY appropriate!), and the wheels were not white.  Also I didn’t have what looks like a winch and fog lights like this one.  But, what’s important here is the hard top kit, which looks exactly like the one I had.  My friends called it “the Box” because it certainly felt boxlike inside.  CJ5s came as 2 seaters as the back was pretty damn small, but that didn’t stop us from shoving two of my friends back there when necessary! :P

I bought a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire Coupe in 1999, it was part of a lease fleet sell off.  This one is exactly like it, except mine was green.  I owned it for over 15 years, then I had to sell it to buy a minivan.  It was a pretty nice little car.   :)

I apologize in advance if I post duplicate pictures in any of the picture threads I deal in.  My MO in getting pictures of one girl is to rip her Instagram.  That ends up with me having up to 2000 pics of her.  I've tried almost half a dozen duplicate finder programs, and none of them find all of the duplicates I inevitably end up with.

I bought a very similar white Imperial LeVaron Southampton hardtop sedan while I was in college in the early 80s.  Even though the source claims that this is a LeBaron, I’m dubious as it seems to have IMPERIAL in block letters behind the front wheels and mine had “LeBaron” in script.  Probably the coolest car I’ve ever owned.

Back in March of 2015, I decided to trade in my 2007 Chevrolet Malibu for a new vehicle and I decided to get an SUV. I wanted an economical one that would get good mileage and so after looking around, I bought a 2015 Chevrolet Trax which became the tiniest vehicle i had owned up to that time in my life. It had a 1.4 liter four banger with a six speed automatic and it got about 35-37 miles per gallon which made it the best mileage car I've ever owned up to that time. Unfortunately, with only three more months to pay it off, a Suburban decided it wanted my lane on the freeway and forced me to change lanes which caused me to hit a concrete median and my little car was killed off. Fortunately, the airbags deployed and I didn't suffer an injury. Poor car was unfixable, and it was totaled by the insurance company. This was the color of it. :'(

What’s funny is that, to me, it was a very old car from a bygone era, yet, I think I got it in ‘82, so it wasn’t even an antique, yet!  But, car styles had changed so much in those days (and I was so young) that it seemed like something from a different epoch compared to, say, what my old ‘98 Dodge Intrepid would feel like compared to present day cars. That car, while now an official antique, isn’t so different than the design of current cars.

My seventh car was a purple 1998 Chrysler Concorde sedan that I sort of inherited from my parents when they moved out to Las Vegas. I didn't keep it long. It was a good car but I absolutely hated the color. Purple is a color that you love or you hate, and I hated it. I started looking for something new right away and within two years it was gone, replaced by the absolute worst car I ever owned! Many a time I wished I'd swallowed my dislike of the color and just kept the Concorde.
