But the statue of Andrew Jackson in Jackson square has two legs in the air!  Jackson didn't die in battle did he?  My bet is it is just the New Orleanian penchant to disregard all grammar, pronunciation and history.
Morality is merely an attitude we adopt towards people whom we personally dislike.

That page has one incorrect bit.  While I was surprised to hear about the real answer, until then I'd held that it was Lucy and Ricky.  They neglect to mention, as do many, that there WERE episodes where Lucy and Ricky were in the same bed--at least one, "Tha Handcuffs," springs to mind instantly, because the gag would not have worked in separate beds.  I think they shared the same bed in "The Fur Coat" also, in the break-in scene.  There were more, I'm pretty sure, and there were also Lucy-Desi Comedy Hours that predated the Flintstones where they shared a bed.

I don't know why no one ever remembers that.

What does it mean if all four legs of the statue of your horse are up in the air?

There isn't always room for Jello.
Occasionally, the truth just tickles a little.
Some bears shit in cages.
You can lead a horse to water, and you can make him drink by feeding him a whole lot of salted popcorn.
Nothing succeeds like success except for threats and bribery.
Honesty is the best policy unless nobody can actually prove that you stole the clock-radio.
Fish occasionally drift for awhile, and birds frequently just sit there.
Sometimes, an idle mind doesn't contain enough tools and materials for the Devil to make anything.

Well, obviously that neither the horse nor the rider ever understood the Law of Gravity . . like the Roadrunner used to say to the Coyote, they simply never studied law.

Close.  2002 is palindromic, as well as 2112, 2222, etc.  2005 is bilaterally symmetric (on a digital clock).  The last one of those was 1881.  The next one beyond 2005 is 2115, then 2255.

Bilateral symmetry requires a mirror image.  Please don't cut any opossums to prove this point.

Not unless the tales involve the old wives sucking each other's big tits (derived from teats, btw) and then they start getting bigger and pregnant and stuff.

Ok Juggler - Tits are called Tits as a provincial version of teats. Why are teats called teats? The word 'teat' comes from the Old French 'tete', which had Germanic origins. Beyond that the trail gets hazy.

It would seem whatever predecessor to "tete" in Germanic origin has also spawned a Middle High German word:  zitze.

I guess the Middle High German girl who inspired that wasn't too chesty for the guy to call them zits.  Then again...she was in Middle High.

Oh, aren't I the punny one.

I can't swear to this at the moment, but I think if you look closely (and if the camera angle allows it), you'll see that what appears to be a double bed was actually two twin beds shoved together. Hollyweird allowed this Back Then, as it allowed two people to be on the same bed as long as one foot was on the floor.

We've come a long way, baby.

Juggler, your post was fantastic!  But your "walk to work" URL actually says that South Dakota has a higher percentage of people who *work* from their homes, not walk.

Alaska is still the state with the highest percentage of people who walk to work (second to Washington D.C., but that's not a state).

So we're up to five correct--still pretty dismal!

Can anyone comment on the following?

4. Men can read smaller print than women can; women can hear better.

Q. There are more collect calls on this day than any other day of the year?
A. Father's Day

Q. What is an activity performed by 40% of all people at a party?
A. Snoop in your medicine cabinet.
