As I recall, the program was called "Angel" and was a spin-off from "Buffy The Vampire Slayer", and has appeared in these forums a number of times when it was airing 15 years ago because of its overt, if understated, sexuality. The problem was that you had to have some sexual experience to appreciate the references and, given the target audience, most of it was lost.

Yes, Angel ran for 5 seasons. Charisma Carpenter was in the first four and had a guest starring role in the 100th episode in season 5. Charisma is one of the main Alum (aside from Angel himself) from Buffy to appear in Angel, another who made the transition was Alexis Denisoff as Wesley, who was brought in to replace the Doyle character. Mercedes McNab, who played Harmony in the first episode of Buffy the Vampire slayer (and who later on became a vampire) is the only other person to have appeared in both the first episodes of Buffy and last episode of Angel, the other of course being David Boreanaz. Seth Green, James Marsters, Juliet Landau, Julie Benz, Eliza Dushku and Alyson Hannigan also make guest appearances throughout Angels run, having also been at one time or another, main cast members in Buffy.

The 'Angel' episode above called Birthday was ep. no.53 in season 3 and almost exactly 1 year before the best breast related line that Charisma ever says on the run of the show. But first some background.

Season 4 had the most direct scripted comments about her breasts. This was in part to the fact that Charisma Carpenter was pregnant for a good portion of it. There has been a rumor for years that her pregnancy did not work well with the direction of the show and mutual conflicting needs eventually caused her character to be 'cut' from the show - which in the Buffy-verse means being killed off.

As her pregnancy progressed it became increasingly more awkward to hide the fact and in the episode 'Awakening' we see that last time the her character is shown not being acknowledged as pregnant. She spends the entire episode shrouded in a long formless coat thing to cut off her profile which was just starting to expand. Her breasts were another matter.

In the scene in question a group must negotiate a tight underground passage rigged with trip wires that allow for very little room to pass between. Due to her more swollen chest it is visually obvious in the scene that her character will have some difficulty with the task. If one just reads the script is sounds as if she is chastising the two other characters in the shot for putting her in this predicament. Her line goes, "Oh, I knew you two would get me in trouble some day." - As it was filmed, she is talking directly to her breasts. This is also the actual intent of the line as there are actually 3 other actors in the scene along with her. What two could she be talking about? Humm.

The previous episode was no. 76 for the series when Charisma was around 3+ months pregnant. From simple calculations and from clues in the script near the end of this season she was just pregnant around the filming of episode 72 "Spin the bottle". In later scripts it is revealed that this was when "it all started" and when "Cordelia turned on us" and other such lines as her character is taken over by an evil force that culminated in a bizarre "birth". After that Charisma Carpenter remains in a **97** until the 100th episode where she appears - however this was only due to the fact that Sarah Michelle Gellar turned down the chance to guest star in that episode.

Episode 72 also has a good breast related line, again a little indirect. The primary cast is subjected to a memory wiping spell that removes their awareness of each other from the point they met. This happens to be just after high school age. Obviously they are not that young and as they try and figure out what has happened Charisma actually is scripted to cup her breasts as shown in the attached images.

If you watch the pilot .. all the character/actors are the same as the series (buffy, giles, xander, cordy ... and I believe harmony was in there) ... except Willow ... they had a different actress for the pilot ...

Also, in the pilot episode we have a different actor play Principal Flutie, in the unaired pilot it is none other than Stephen Tobolowsky. Incidentally, the actress who played Willow was Riff Regan, Riff no longer acts.
