After looking at the full size picture i noticed something at the very bottom right. Is that a deflated air bag or what? It almost looks like a patch of fungus.

No offense, but probe the damn planet all you want. I want something more informative than pictures. Put something together which can take ahold of a rock and test it. I want to hear of new and alien elements and materials! Not pictures of desert.

Well Dusk, this one does all that....but as far as pictures go, yes we've already seen them. At least those of us that were adults in the 90's.....

Space exploration to those of us that were alive in the sixties definitely has a different slant.

yeah i know, but i mean it'd be cool if TODAY there was another space race, and since we already went to the moon, this time to a planet! but of course, government and especially the military don't seem to see anything out there that's useful, so the space program is going so damned slowly now.
