Actually, i think it cuz the film wasn't popular AT ALL. My local bootlegger who usually has films a week before it's release never even got the flick. This flick is just hard to find...

In order to keep this site from being sued for distributing information re: an illegal distribution of an ENTIRE RECENT FEATURE FILM, I will ask that no user post the specific location where such a film can be obtained in violation of the studio copyright. Liability wise, we can usually manage to permit users to monitor themselves when it comes to a still or two or even a short clip of something not too recent, but posting a link to an entire feature film (or even any substantial part of it) is going to do nothing good for this site. So please DON'T DO IT.

Feel free to post links/info to where to purchase or rent this movie (new or bona fide used) but no torrent stuff.

I know I don't post very often and no one really knows me on this board, but...
I just got an email from New Line Cinema and they have set April 12 as the release date for "A Dirty Shame"!  
Figured that would make everyone here happy.

Thanks Treebeard for letting us know of the release date.  I have gone to the John Waters web site a few times anticipating a dvd release and had not heard any news.  The film never made it to the big screen in my area and I have been anxious to see it.

Where I live the local indie screen put it on for 1 night a month after it's release.

Lucky for me here in the great white north they sell porn (well playboy) videos and DVD's in music stores like HMV and musicworld. So I won't have to special order it. Hopefully   anyway. Course I'll just have to work up the balls to buy it.

Man...I missed this one in theatres, but I never thought it'd take this long for the DVD to come out.  Anyway, I did find an interesting photo of Selma Blair on the set.  Hopefully it will tide you over if you haven't seen the movie yet either.  Can anyone confirm the photo?  It's the only one of the nude prostetics that I've found on the net, so I was a little sceptacle.
