Krewe du Vieux rolls this Saturday in the French Quarter at 6:30pm and is usually a good "Show me your boobs" parade.  My wife and I will be staying at our apartment on Dauphine starting Friday night and for the Duration of Mardi Gras (even if it is a pain in the ass for me to commute on the Causeway across Lake Pontchartrain to and from work each day and in increased traffic due to construction EVERYWHERE in the Quarter!).  Ought to be good weather, although a little cool, for the parades this year.

Crap and double crap!  What with the rain and now the high temps from now through Fat Tuesday forecasted in the highs in the low 50's and down into the low 30's/upper 20's at night, there are too Many heavy coats and layers of clothes for any decent sightings!

Bourbon Street has been less than entertaining the last few nights.

About to head out to watch the 3 uptown parades tonight.  Babylon, Chaos and Muses all roll tonight starting at 5:45.

I ride Endymion Saturday and HOPE it warms up a little, but not a good chance.  It's going to be COLD on that float!  We roll at 4:15 (yeah, right.  We've never started on time!  LOL!).

If anyone is down there, I'm on float 6, passenger side.  Yell at me and I'll throw you somp'n!
