option 2... doesn't that kinda become Jerry Springer-ish?

I was feeling it more along the lines of "The Osbournes" or that new show with disgustingly gauche Anna Nicole Smith.  I'd watch a reality show with big-boobed subject(s).  If there's interesting stuff going on there, too, even better!  Remember Real World: Hawaii?  Cool-ass pad with a fucking volcano model in the swimming pool, right on the beach, bickering housemates, serpentine storylines, AND Amaya's big-ass titties????  The ones she talked about all the time and referred to as "the twins?"  Amaya, probably the biggest drama queen in the show's history, swiftly and effortlessly made everything in that house revolve around her, and her on-and-off relationship with that lucky fuck whatshisname.  Colin, yeah, that's it.  So there was plenty big Amaya titties to be seen each half-hour.  Addictive show, AND big titties.  THAT's quality television.

Pehaps something everyday, like cola. That way, every time a guy saw the logo, they'd have warm fuzzy feelings towards the product cos of the memories it'd trigger.

Got it! Film promotion! Remember when Madonna wore that teeshirt advertising Guy Ritchie's "Snatch"? That got a LOT of newspaper space.

Not at all.  No studio audience, no staged fights, no sappy moralizing, everyone has a full set of teeth.  Seeing as most viewers will be turning the sound off anyway, the show could also set a higher intellectual tone, e.g.  This Week in Quantum Cryptography with Helen Humongous.

Goldenboy has it about right.

I see the show as a kind of social strip tease.  The hostess remains fully clothed, but the layers of formality obscuring her personal life are gradually peeled away (as required to sustain ratings).

Speaking of reality shows, MTV has some reality show about a sorrority.  I doubt that the girls are all that busty, but the interesting thing is that it's shot at UC Davis in CA and that girl Becca was in my graduating HS class.  Damn scarey to think that someone with as irrellevant comments in class as Becca's is now on a reality show.
