For the record, Vix did fine.  I was felt so embarrassed to be identifying myself solely as "weird spelling of Drool" that I took a cue from something I noticed in my Ladies and Gentlemen (Cable) thread down in the Plume and felt more comfortable referring to myself as Drew L'Empire.

Now we see how the next 19 days go ...

Ladies and Gentlemen $2000 left to go on the initial $5000 in medical aid for Vixen.

Guys it's not like we are asking for a few people to give large amounts.  $5 to $10 is great, better if everyone here would chip in that amount.

She does need the help and it has stunned her with the amount of help that she has gotten.

Cutter makes an excellent point.  Far and away the biggest part of the $5000 is going to be the composite one.  If a hundred members kick in $20 -- roughly the cost of going out to a movie with a friend -- that'll do it.  That also comes to two hundred kicking in ten and four hundred kicking in five.  A couple of us can do some heavy lifting, but enough of us doing a little is really what's going to do the trick.

Besides, it's an excuse to write Vixen.  Don't be shy, give Vixen a Hi.

Update:  $3,200 received; $1,800 to go to max out the Munch Match.

Ooch.  I would if I could, but my new job as an attorney in Europe starts just too late for me to send in a donation for matching purposes.

(i.e. next month, I could afford it; right now, I'm effectively broke, so all I can offer is best wishes.)

Actually .. the number's been recalculated ... Vix is only counting received funds, not pledged funds ...

Awesome.  The purpose of the Match Game is to help Vix with her bills, which appear they will exceed the $10,000 ... but my main stress point is only send what you comfortably can ... and me and my partner can only comfortably match up to $5,000 ... so she will still need money after the $10,000 is raised

Well my little project I am doing for vixen has hit a unexpected snafu.  I have NOT yet received the model from ebay.  I am in NY, he is in OH, the auction says shipping should take 2-9 days.  It has been 2 weeks since I sent electronic payment via PayPal.  I am so pissed about that right now , I was hoping to have received the item, so I could begin the disassembly process to get it ready for the new paint job .

We're in the home stretch now... only about a week to go to reach $5,000 and have Munch double it to $10,000!

And I'll just say: Cutter, the feeling is mutual, you have long impressed me as precisely the sort of gentleman we could use more of down at my favorite club.

And like I say -- at this point, it may help to simply first think of this as an opportunity to write a note to Vixen, and then "just happen to remember" to include some $$$ too.  With or without a note, it still all adds up.
