Happened to be channel surfing the other day and came across a re-run episode of the Wendy Williams show.

Wendy, no slouch herself in the huge boobs department, was in the middle of showing a tape interview she had with Dolly, which made me stop surfing and take a look.

Dolly was her usual fun self and of course the two ladies made some obvious jokes about the girls. What I found most amusing was how the size differential ... ah, let me re-phrase that, the height differential between Wendy and the diminutive Dolly, allowed Dolly to rest her head on one of Wendy's breasts when the two of them posed together for a photo-op.

L.A. Times: "Dolly Parton, the Ramones, Julie Andrews among Grammy Lifetime Achievement recipients"

"Dolly Parton, the Ramones, Julie Andrews, the Kingston Trio, the Juilliard String Quartet, jazz musician and bandleader Roy Haynes and gospel singer-composer George Beverly Shea will be recognized by the Recording Academy with Lifetime Achievement Awards on the eve of the Feb. 13 Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

"These influential performers and brilliant innovators have been of great inspiration to our culture and industry,” academy President and Chief Executive Neil Portnow said in a statement with the announcement of this year’s recipients.

Among other Special Merit Award honorees announced Wednesday, Trustees Awards, which recognize contributions to the music industry by non-performers, will go to veteran record label executive Bruce Lundvall, former Stax Records vice president and Bellmark Records founder Al Bell and classical music producer Wilma Cozart Fine.

Technical Grammy Awards will be given to electronic music instrument developer Roger Linn and software developer Waves Audio.

Ahh, Dolly, my old favourite.

There are some pretty nice Dolly Parton videos on YouTube. Here is one from the 70'ies where she makes an appearance on, I guess, a talk show. Dolly and the host commentate as viewers see a fashion show where Dolly wears and showcases different outfits. Perhaps its just me, but it seems the fashion show is just an excuse for Dolly to show off her buxom figure. Dolly may have thought the same, as she in jest denies the model is her and purpots that it is actually Chesty Morgan!

One of the recent female guests on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson in the past few days (was it Paula Abdul?) claimed that Dolly Parton has tattoos all over her body. He and his guest were discussing the tats that they each have, and she let that one slip.
