In 2006 Dolly was one of the Kennedy Center honorees for contributions to American culture. Here she is enthusiastically showing off her... contributions. Or ostensibly the medallion she was awarded.

She was 60 years old then, and she still looked great at the time. Next year she will be 80 years old. 

She was looking good.

There has been speculation for some years, at least online, that Dolly has had a reduction and wears a breastplate when she is in public. Cannot confirm the veracity of such claims, but no doubt weight becomes more difficult to carry when one gets older, and complications from surgeries are of course possible. No matter how wonderful the "amplifying" effect is.

Someone reported she had died? That is just bad. I hope Dolly is doing fine - it seems her husband had been ill for some time, so, while very sad, it may not have been an abrupt shock.

Dolly for sure has used her bust for her advantage. Its interesting how the movie Outlaw was censored for how Jane Russell's breasts were "shockingly emphasized" in it, and how some decades later many of Dolly's movies have had her breasts basically front and centre. I think especially Rhinestone is like breast fetishists produced it (which certainly was the case for Outlaw), and were able to include a deluge of footage of Dolly eagerly flaunting her chest in tight and revealing clothes doing her best to pose in the most bust emphasizing ways.

The movie definitely has a quality to it. Though I don't usually enjoy movies with a lot of singing and dancing in them, I can make an exception for Dolly.

Dolly always wears clothes that are tailored to emphasize her best features. Don't know if she actually had this to say about it in regards to one of her later films though:

Porter Wagoner gave Dolly a platform and helped her to propel herself to stardom, but was not very happy when she got the opportunity to get her own TV show. There was a rift between them, and that is what the song I Will Always Love You is about. In any case Dolly got her own show Dolly! on a station that allowed her to wear much more form fitting clothes and to bounce herself more while she was performing. She was able to more and more add buxomness to her brand.
