I agree.  Let him and his poorly-run country rot.  He's on shaky ground since he did nothing to help his country rebound from poor performance.  He was too interested in mocking the US any time he could.

He can't really do much.  It's the religous leaders that decide everything.

But mostly they work in tandem.  So, let them both rot until the so-called religious leaders support someone else.

This thread is starting to get really depressing.

Nah, I reckon Dow will be 15000 by this time next year - buy now while you can.

That's funny. I do most of my trades by direct purchase, which takes a few days to clear. It's not that I mind, but with 800 or 900 point swings, it makes it really chancy.I have a buy on Centerpoint Energy (the old and much-despised Reliant Energy, formerly Houston Enterprises) set to execute Friday and one on Procter & Gamble set to execute Monday.

Yeah I bet it does.

The Dow was 10% today as you probably know, I know that the Dow's rise doesn't necessarily affect particular shares, but that sort of volatility in the market must be a real pain to guesstimate, even on spot share.

I've got an online share dealing account, I haven't used it for a while, instead putting my money is a mutual fund.  I don't know how long it takes if I buy spot shares to complete.  I'll have to find out.

The dollar to Euro market affects me, but I couldn't care less about any stock market.  So let them all fry, for all I care.  The rich will burn far more than I will.

The bad news: this market just can't seem to rally.

The good news: my floor of 7227 which I suggested over a month ago is still looking awfully safe.

How easy would it be to play with $100 in the market right now? I'd prefer to play in the commodities or the FX, but I'm not sure how cost-prohibitive it would be to play with so little money as $100.

You've got the Foxers drooling, so be careful.  Markets are still very volatile but if you expect them to weep one second for the middle income investor......
