Honestly SaR, you could be hosting The Essentials on TCM with Robert Osborne.  Nothing against Rose McGowan, but I'm sure you could give her a run for the money.

Slight confusion: you said The Closer, but I can only think of that as a TV show.  There is a movie The Cooler though, a sort of Vegas fable with Alec Baldwin as a baddie, William H. Macy actually winning for once, and (I think) the underappreciated Maria Bello.

Dipped back into my favorite club and the first house girl I saw was clearly invoking the spirit of Marilyn Monroe.  My hair and sideburns somehow put her in mind of Elvis (very nice of her not to be thrown off by the beard), so we had a "Marilyn and Elvis" moment in a booth.  Anyhow, I mentioned you to her and promised I'd mention her to the Marilyn of our day -- and I just did.

Also the closing scene of this movie touched me after my adoring it and watching it numerous times it just happens to end on the street I lived on when in Manhattan several times a year.  West 47th between 5th and 6th
So having it close on a street that I have such amazing memories from was just icing on the cake! Cherry on top hehe!

Phone Booth was another movie that didn't have a lot of location shoots. Just one street in NY. Great movie! Colin Farrell is the man.
