"What they’re afraid of is alienating their allies in the Middle East..."

EXACTLY - but not in the way one might think.

If you look at things close enough and seriously enough, you should come to the realization that there's not a single significant country or player in the Middle East for whom "Defeating ISIS/ISIL" is their primary concern.

Saudi Arabia? The House of Saud wants to preserve their monarchy. Liberalize things too much, and they'll wake up the next day and find themselves having to get real jobs.
Iraq? The Sunnis and Shiites both want to be in charge, so that they can keep the other one from treating them as second-class citizens. (The Shia - Sunni split is deeper than you realize).
Iran? As the world's only nation where Shia Islam is the majority, they want to be a regional power to counterbalance all the many Sunni Islam states. That explains their interest in nuclear weapons.
The Kurds? They just want to be allowed to be Kurds. The actual "nation" they belong to doesn't really matter.
Turkey? They want two things. For Russia (their traditional enemy) to stay the fuck away, and for their minorities to STFU. It's not only the Armenians that have a grudge against them, and as soon as they make concessions to one, all the others will stand up and say, "What about us?"
Israel? To be allowed to exist.
Palestine? To be allowed to exist.
Syria? Ask again later.
Lebanon? To be noticed, I guess.

So when you go looking for allies in the Middle East in the fight against ISIS/ISIL, you've got to understand that no one really seems to care about it as much as we do. Therefore, if you want their help, you've got to make sure you don't piss them off needlessly.

You *seem* (and I could be wrong here) to believe Muslims have somehow done us (America as a whole) harm.

What in the world made you think that?   :o

You truly think I whole heartedly believe Muslims in general have done the United States harm??!

Wow. That's quite an assumption!

EDIT: Is it due to how I present my opinion on Trump? Should I denounce something? Maybe his temporary ban on Muslim Immigrants?

After our little discussion about Hillary and your denial to be objective, and this quick judgement.... it is I who should be done with you.

EDIT: ...if there is a misunderstanding somewhere then I truly apologize.

Imagine if Obama, Kamala, or Biden survived two assassination attempts and the media not publicly destroying the reputation of everyone who issued even the most mild criticism of them and then just dropping the story completely.

Yeah, I cannot either.

So El Drumpfo gave a speech in which he really lit in to Hillary Clinton and her record....

Now I know people love calling Clinton a pathological or professional liar, but what about The Donald's consistent, and consistently outrageous lies?

"I was among the earliest to criticize the rush to [the Iraq] war, and yes, even before the war ever started."

"We could only find one example of Trump commenting on the Iraq War before the invasion where he seemed apprehensive but not vehemently opposed to the operation. In another interview, Trump said he supported the invasion." - Politifact

On refugees, there's "no way to screen who they are, what they are, what they believe, where they come from."

The current system of vetting refugees has been in place since 1980, and includes several rounds of background checks, and typically takes one to two years.

"Hillary took up to $25 million from Saudi Arabia, and much more from others, where being gay is also punishable by death. Hillary took millions from Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and many other countries that horribly abuse women and LGBT citizens."

That money went to the Clinton Foundation, and it is NOT a violation of current campaign law for a non-profit philanthropic organization to accept donations from foreign governments. It is also worth noting that with Clinton at the helm, the State Department made advancing women's rights and LGBT rights a key part of our foreign policy.

"We are, by the way, highest taxed nation in the world. Please remember that."

No, no, and no. Unless he was talking about the highest top marginal corporate tax rates in the world (be advised that thanks to so many deductions and exclusions available to corporations, they rarely pay anything even close to that), we're nowhere near the top no matter how you look at it. - http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2016/may/08/donald-trump/donald-trump-us-not-highest-taxed-nation-in-world/

"Our military" has been "totally depleted."

While military spending has decreased, the United States’ defense budget is larger than the next seven to eight countries combined. And while the number of ground troops and Navy ships have shrunk, size is no guarantee of military might. In fact, experts say the Army and Navy of today are much more capable than they were decades ago.

And the Big One - Clinton was asleep in bed at the time of the attack on the Benghazi consulate.

The, attack took place at about 9:30 p.m. Benghazi time, or 3:30 in the afternoon Washington time on a Tuesday. Clinton was at her State Department office then. And she kept on working, both there and in her office at her home until at least 10 pm (Washington time), when she released a public statement on the attacks.

More debunking of his speech can be found here: http://mediamatters.org/research/2016/06/22/discredited-books-heart-trumps-speech/211103

So when are we going to start calling him The King of Lies?

By the way, Mark Cuban is no fan of Drumpf:

"It's rare when you see someone get stupider before your eyes, but he's really working at  it…You have to give him credit. It’s a difficult thing to do, but he’s accomplished it."

"....But at some point, you’ve got to start learning and understanding the issues. You know, Donald has been at this a year but you don’t look at him and say, ‘Wow, he’s gotten so much smarter on this topic or that topic.' In fact, you look at him and say, ‘What the hell are you talking about?' That’s not good for America."

Meanwhile, everyone is going "What the hell just happened?" because no one seriously expected the referendum to go the way it did.

Seriously stupid people. All of them. Every vote counts. Every vote matters.

I think what is really fueling my anger at the Brits is fear of that nonsense being replicated in the States. (Although I think the collective IQ of the US would rise by 100 points if a Texit happened.)

I apologize in advance if I post duplicate pictures in any of the picture threads I deal in.  My MO in getting pictures of one girl is to rip her Instagram.  That ends up with me having up to 2000 pics of her.  I've tried almost half a dozen duplicate finder programs, and none of them find all of the duplicates I inevitably end up with.

And in other news....

Obama bans Single Sex bathrooms at National Parks

Priorities. And what happends when a Muslim is offended by a woman in their restroom? When it comes to sports, should people compete based on their gender identity or their DNA? Tough questions.

What do you think about the Vaccine Racket?

That there isn't one.

Next conspiracy, please.

You know, a lot of these so called "conspiracies" are not just theories anymore. Hate to burst your bubble, but these asshats who do this shit do not even bother to hide it anymore. It is so blatant in your face.

Perfect examples;

Years ago, everyone would hear the word, "Bildeberg" and think its just a conspiracy theory. Now, these bastards have their own website, tell you whos going, where its going to be, and what they are going to talk about. Yet it is more fun to just say "conspiracy theory" and use it in a derogatory fashion.

Biometric national IDs anyone?

And I ask, please do not respond so cruelly.
