Two out of three activists / investigative journalists that were working under cover to reveal production conditions in China for goods produced for Ivanka Trump labels disappeared. The third investigative jounalist got arrested by Chinese police.

Unbelieveable what in and around this Trumpel clan happens.

For those that are willing to pay for independent journalism (not influenced by threats of right wing lobbyists or in danger of being a target of US right wing extremist ratfucking campaingns) made in Germany the link to the article that backup what I said:
 http://www.spiegel.de/spiegel/ivanka-trump-fuer-ihre-mode-werden-arbeiterinnen-in-china-ausgebeutet-a-1150550.html

The truth is hard to digest.

That's great. I will take that website as legit and hell it's possible Trump could continue this and take it even further.

But the bigger point I was trying to make, and you clearly demonstrated it, is that both sides have major faults and we shouldn't act like one is greater than the other.

I mean, what I highlighted in bold from your quote...  Can't there be independent journalists who are:

"not influenced by threats of left wing lobbyists or in danger of being a target of US left wing extremist ratfucking campaingns"?

Because everytime those come out and try to expose corruption, they automatically get labeled conspiracy theorists.

Where is the fair no biased approach to these things?
Imagine if Obama, Kamala, or Biden survived two assassination attempts and the media not publicly destroying the reputation of everyone who issued even the most mild criticism of them and then just dropping the story completely.

Yeah, I cannot either.

Thanks. Very interesting. If I compare the left vs. the right headlines both are biased. Didn't expect different. While the left are still civilized the right ones are personal, ratfucking attempts, ideological loaded and very unfriendly sounding. In summary: extremistic.

This says everything to me.

"If He Were Doing Any Other Job, Donald Trump Would Have Been Fired by Now"

When you contradict other people in your administration, blatantly twist the words of others to support your personal opinions, undermine people who are supposed to be trying to help you....

And now it's been leaked that Russian attempts at hacking the election (and at this point, we really have to call it that; it's gone beyond mere meddling in the campaign) were more involved, started at a higher level in the Russian government, and were more serious than previously known....

Quote
Russian military intelligence executed a cyberattack on at least one U.S. voting software supplier and sent spear-phishing emails to more than 100 local election officials just days before last November’s presidential election, according to a highly classified intelligence report obtained by The Intercept.

The top-secret National Security Agency document, which was provided anonymously to The Intercept and independently authenticated, analyzes intelligence very recently acquired by the agency about a months-long Russian intelligence cyber effort against elements of the U.S. election and voting infrastructure. The report, dated May 5, 2017, is the most detailed U.S. government account of Russian interference in the election that has yet come to light.

http://theintercept.com/2017/06/05/top-secret-nsa-report-details-russian-hacking-effort-days-before-2016-election/

The investigations MUST continue. Even if Trump is not impeached. There's something more important at stake here.

Quote
Whatever the investigation into the Trump campaign concludes, however, it pales in comparison to the threat posed to the legitimacy of U.S. elections if the infrastructure itself can’t be secured. The NSA conclusion “demonstrates that countries are looking at specific tactics for election manipulation, and we need to be vigilant in defense,” said [cybersecurity expert Bruce] Schneier. “Elections do two things: one choose the winner, and two, they convince the loser. To the extent the elections are vulnerable to hacking, we risk the legitimacy of the voting process, even if there is no actual hacking at the time.”

Throughout history, the transfer of power has been the moment of greatest weakness for societies, leading to untold bloodshed. The peaceful transfer of power is one of the greatest innovations of democracy.

“It’s not just that [an election] has to be fair, it has to be demonstrably fair, so that the loser says, ‘Yep, I lost fair and square.’ If you can’t do that, you’re screwed,” said Schneier. “They’ll tear themselves apart if they’re convinced it’s not accurate.”

And now it is even possible that Russia tried to destabilize by hacking and seeding fake news (like the extremistic right wings do - btw. who learned from who?) the Middle East to get more war and influence and maybe kick out the US from Qatar ...

A phishing scam? Really, thats the accusation now? What was the leakers name by the way?

This is fake news.

Um - No. It wasn't staged.

"That the demonstration was real, not staged, is clear from additional press coverage of the event. According to the BBC, the gathering was organized by the London Fatwa Council, who confirmed that their chairman, Shaykh Mohammad Yazdani, was present at the vigil to pay respects to the victims."

Their modus operandi: The thing that you do or are, you accuse others of doing or being...and the poorly educated and the people who yearn for authoritarians to rule over them lap it up. In the words of a commenter on this video:

Quote

It’s baffling to me how Trump can act like a complete dictator and his supporters will just ignore it. Comey’s statement revealed that Trump wanted loyalty from Comey. Trump felt he wasn’t loyal, and this is one reason Comey was fired. That’s right. The president of the US literally fired the head of the FBI because he didn’t think he was loyal enough to Trump, and still Trump supporters defend him.

In fact, Trump has a long history of acting like a dictator, and his supporters insist there’s nothing to see:

- He has appointed friends and family to positions of power in his administration. Still nothing to see here, say Trump supporters.

- He has banned media outlets from his press briefing, and has said that any negative news about him is the enemy of the American people. What do you say, Trump supporters? Nope, still nothing.

- People in his administration have wanted reporters to be fired for criticizing Trump, which is a direct violation of the first amendment. This one is especially ironic, since Trump supporters are always talking about their love for free speech, and call liberals snowflakes. But I haven’t heard a word from them about this.

Seriously, what more does Trump have to do for his supporters to see that there is a huge problem?

As you say, rtpoe, much more is at stake here than merely whether or not the Russians were involved here.

Meanwhile, #2 Son speaketh:

Quote

Eric Trump, son of President Trump and co-head of the Trump Organization, attacked Democrats on Tuesday night for obstructing his father's agenda, saying he hasn't seen "hatred like this" and calling Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez a "whack job."

Trump's comments came during an interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity. The full quote:

"I've never seen hatred like this. To me, they're not even people. It's so, so sad. I mean, morality is just gone. Morals have flown out the window. We deserve so much better than this as a country. You know it's so sad. You see the Democratic Party. They're imploding. They're imploding. They have no message. You see the head of the DNC, who is a total whack job. There's no leadership there. And so what do they do? They become obstructionists because they have no message of their own. They have no solid candidates of their own. They lost the election that they should have won because they spent seven times the amount of money that my father spent. They have no message, so what do they try and do? They try and obstruct a great man, they try and obstruct his family, they come after us viciously, and it's truly, truly horrible."

Perez responded to Trump on Wednesday morning via Twitter: "Eric, Democrats are people. So are Muslims, immigrants, women, people with pre-existing conditions, and everyone else Trump is hurting."

Trump's attacks happened to be on the same day Forbes broke a story that the Trump Organization has enjoyed profits from a charity golf tournament organized by his foundation. The tournament is held annually to benefit children's cancer research.

He apparently was in a vegetative state from 2008 to 2016.

Also, in a surprise to no one:

NPR:"Trump Deals In Saudi Arabia May Ultimately Be Less Than Advertised"
Quote

President Trump and Saudi King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud sat side by side in the Royal Court Palace in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and watched as agreement after agreement was signed by Saudi officials and American CEOs. The signing ceremony lasted 22 minutes.

"Hundreds of billions of dollars of investments [into] the United States and jobs, jobs, jobs," Trump raved to reporters a short time later.

A State Department official says the agreements are worth $380 billion: $110 billion in arms sales and $270 billion in commercial agreements. But beyond that, U.S. officials were slow to provide a complete list of the agreements or a full accounting of the totals they provided....

An administration official later provided by phone what he said was a "partial list" that included only some of the commercial and arms deals. Added together, the total came to just $83 billion — a far cry from the top-line number touted initially...

Late Tuesday, a White House spokeswoman provided NPR with two spreadsheets: one listing the commercial deals and another listing the proposed defense deals. The commercial deals add up to nearly $267 billion.

But it turns out that most of what was signed in the palace wasn't completed deals or signed contracts but rather nonbonding agreements ("memoranda of understanding") between U.S. companies and Saudi entities. Press releases from the companies included the words "preliminary," "proposed" and "potential." Others make it clear that the arrangements had been in the works before Trump was elected.

...As for the $110 billion in military equipment sales, that is easier to track because the State Department has to sign off and information about the sales has to be posted before final contracts can even be negotiated. About $25 billion of it has been posted. However, those potential arms sales were all set in motion during the Obama administration.

And the other $85 billion? It is partially deals that were already announced. And the rest are still subject to approval by the State Department and Congress, all before final sales agreements —which are very much subject to change — can be hammered out.

Aaron Mehta
, the senior Pentagon correspondent with Defense News, started digging into the numbers immediately after the announcement. He points out a $6.8 billion deal for munitions and support was posted and brought to Congress in October 2013.

Brookings Institution Senior Fellow Bruce Riedel was even less charitable.

"There is no deal. It's fake news," he wrote in a scathing piece on the Brookings website. "I've spoken to contacts in the defense business and on the Hill, and all of them say the same thing: There is no $110 billion deal. Instead, there are a bunch of letters of interest or intent, but not contracts. Many are offers that the defense industry thinks the Saudis will be interested in someday."

It could be years before anyone knows for sure whether the preliminary agreements announced in Saudi Arabia have become real deals worth hundreds of billions or whether the announcements were the kind of hyperbole Trump perfected during his time in the business world.
