Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) announced today that he would not be seeking re-election when his term expires in 2018. Excerpts from the full speech:

"We must never regard as 'normal' the regular and casual undermining of our democratic norms and ideals. We must never meekly accept the daily sundering of our country - the personal attacks, the threats against principles, freedoms, and institutions, the flagrant disregard for truth or decency, the reckless provocations, most often for the pettiest and most personal reasons, reasons having nothing whatsoever to do with the fortunes of the people that we have all been elected to serve.

None of these appalling features of our current politics should ever be regarded as normal. We must never allow ourselves to lapse into thinking that this is just the way things are now. If we simply become inured to this condition, thinking that this is just politics as usual, then heaven help us. Without fear of the consequences, and without consideration of the rules of what is politically safe or palatable, we must stop pretending that the degradation of our politics and the conduct of some in our executive branch are normal. They are not normal. ...

If I have been critical, it not because I relish criticizing the behavior of the president of the United States. If I have been critical, it is because I believe that it is my obligation to do so, as a matter of duty and conscience. The notion that one should stay silent as the norms and values that keep America strong are undermined and as the alliances and agreements that ensure the stability of the entire world are routinely threatened by the level of thought that goes into 140 characters - the notion that one should say and do nothing in the face of such mercurial behavior is ahistoric and, I believe, profoundly misguided.

A Republican president named [Theodore Roosevelt] had this to say about the president and a citizen's relationship to the office:
'The President is merely the most important among a large number of public servants. He should be supported or opposed exactly to the degree which is warranted by his good conduct or bad conduct, his efficiency or inefficiency in rendering loyal, able, and disinterested service to the nation as a whole. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary that there should be full liberty to tell the truth about his acts, and this means that it is exactly as necessary to blame him when he does wrong as to praise him when he does right. Any other attitude in an American citizen is both base and servile.' President Roosevelt continued. 'To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.'"

Yawn. Old News.

As originally reported in Mother Jones last October:

"In June, the former Western intelligence officer—who spent almost two decades on Russian intelligence matters and who now works with a US firm that gathers information on Russia for corporate clients—was assigned the task of researching Trump’s dealings in Russia and elsewhere, according to the former spy and his associates in this American firm. This was for an opposition research project originally financed by a Republican client critical of the celébrity mogul. (Before the former spy was retained, the project’s financing switched to a client allied with Democrats.) “It started off as a fairly general inquiry,” says the former spook, who asks not to be identified. But when he dug into Trump, he notes, he came across troubling information indicating connections between Trump and the Russian government. According to his sources, he says, “there was an established exchange of information between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin of mutual benefit.""

http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2016/10/veteran-spy-gave-fbi-info-alleging-russian-operation-cultivate-donald-trump/

Emphasis mine.

And note: IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO PAID FOR IT, IT'S WHAT THE DOSSIER SAYS.

And no reputable source has come forward to debunk any of the information in the dossier. An occasional typo in a name or date, but nothing of substance.

re: Sen. Flake's impassioned speech. This is what happened not even five hours after he made it.

Esquire: "Here's What Happened Among Republicans a Few Hours After Jeff Flake's Speech"
Specifically, among those seeking reelection.

You would have thought that Senator Jeff Flake would have basked a little longer in the applause he got for scarpering out of the Senate before he got around to the business of emptying his words of any significant meaning they ever had. Instead, Flake—along with fellow brave truth-tellers Bob Corker, Ben Sasse and, significantly, John McCain—joined with every other Republican (including Mike Pence, The Great Tiebreaker) to arrange for the screwing of countless Americans and their families.

In the dead of Tuesday night, with the applause still ringing in his ears, Flake voted to strip the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau of a rule that allowed Americans to file class-action suits against banks rather than being forced into an arbitration process that generally is as rigged as a North Korean election.

The rule was unveiled in July by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and praised by Democrats and consumer advocates as giving average people more power to fight industry abuses, such as Wells Fargo & Co.’s creation of millions of unauthorized accounts. But banking lobbyists argued that the rule would unleash a flood of class-action lawsuits, and that the cost of fighting those suits would be passed on to consumers. Republicans quickly moved to repeal the regulation.

You have to love their timing, too. This move comes hard on the heels of the Equifax calamity, and just as the Congress is shilling for a massive upward shift in the country’s wealth that is disguised as a “middle-class tax cut.” Further, it proves that our political system learned absolutely nothing from what happened in 2008, when the masters of the universe nearly blew up the entire world economy....

No the article doesn't. Remember the source is pretty right wing, but not even a right terrorist extremistic Nazi source.

Now you came with this:

El Presidente gave some interviews recently. First with Fox Business Channel’s Maria Bartiromo, and then with Lou Dobbs.

There are "softball" interviews and questions, and then there are putting the ball on the T-ball tee questions. Bartiromo's was the former, Dobbs' was the latter. Here's some of what was said:

With Bartiromo, they came around to his proposal to cut the top corporate tax rate to 20%, which his own Council of Economic Advisers said would give an extra $4000 to the average American household:

"And I think that there’s tremendous appetite. There’s tremendous spirit for it, not only by the people we’re dealing with in Congress but for the people out there that want to see something — $5,000, almost. It can be $5,000 average per individual — per group. And so I’m really looking forward to it. Let’s see what happens."

He can't even get the one bullet point right.

Then they came around to cutting taxes on the rich, which Trump and the GOP are supposed to flim-flam people into thinking is a tax cut for the middle class:

BARTIROMO: If the top earners pay 80 percent of the taxes, why are you so afraid to cut taxes on the top earners?

TRUMP: I think this, look, you know, I am very happy with the way I’ve done part of this in my civilian life, all right.

BARTIROMO: Of course. This is not about —

TRUMP: Other people — well, it’s about me representing rich people.

BARTIROMO: Okay.

TRUMP: Representing — being representative of rich people. Very interesting to me Bob Kraft was down. He was very nice. He owns the Patriots. He gave me a Super Bowl ring a month ago. And he —

BARTIROMO: Well, Putin took his —

TRUMP: Which was very nice. That’s right. But he left this beautiful ring, and I immediately give it to the White House and they put it some place, and that’s the way it is.

BARTIROMO: That’s great.

TRUMP: He said to me — he’s a good man. He said to me you have to do us all a favor, give the tax decrease to the middle class, we don’t need it. We don’t need it. We don’t want it. Give it to the middle class. And, I’ve had many people, very wealthy people, tell me the very same thing. I’ve had very few say I want more, I want more.

http://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2017/10/23/16522456/trump-bartiromo-transcript

Then he sat down for a chat with Lou "Do I have something brown on my nose?" Dobbs.

Dobbs asks about the problems in the GOP over his "border wall":

“How in the world are we going to be able to deal with all of these issues if you — if you cannot bring the Republican party together?”

TRUMP: I really think they’re coming along. I really do. I think they are coming along. One thing you didn’t mention which you will mention and I know you talk about it is the power of the pharmaceutical companies.

DOBBS: Oh, yes.

TRUMP: We pay so much more for the same pill, prescription drugs than other countries. You go to Canada — people go to Canada to buy prescriptions.

We pay for the exact same pill, made from same plant, the same company, we pay in many cases, many, many times more than they’re paying in other countries. So we’re subsidizing the world in terms of prescription drugs. It’s ridiculous. And it’s going to stop.

HUH??????

Then Dobbs straightens the T-ball stand, and makes sure the ball is in Donnie's "wheelhouse". He asks about the tax plan. "What do you expect the impact to be for working men and women, the middle class, those who aspire to be in the middle class?" Now anyone who's looked at the Executive Summary knows there are three main points: 1) A doubling of the standard deduction, 2) an increase in the **09** Tax Credit, and 3) a cut in the corporate tax rate that is intended to result in an average salary increase of $4,000. Now if this is your Number One Key Current Policy Proposal, you'd have those memorized, right?

TRUMP: You know, we’ve done so well. Pretty much record setting, certainly record setting for nine months in so many different ways. Nine months of a presidency. But you look at the market, how well it’s doing, so you’d say well why do you have to do anything. We can actually do better. And I think we will do better. We are going to have so many jobs created by what we’re doing. And you know, we’re going to have companies that aren’t going to be leaving our country anymore. You look at what’s happened over the last 25 years, you go down and take a look at Mexico—

DOBBS: Right.

TRUMP: —and see how many car companies have built these massive factories in Mexico. Not here. We want them built in Michigan, and Ohio, and our places. And they just leave, and they fire everybody, and they go and open up plants. That’s not going to be happening anymore, plus they’re going to be penalized in many different ways if they do it.

Dobbs later asks Trump about who he's thinking of appointing as Chairman of the Federal Reserve. Trump fumbles his way around an answer - and then asks Dobbs who he wants:

DOBBS: You’re nearing a decision on who will chair the fed.

TRUMP: I am.

DOBBS: Any hints?

TRUMP: So I really have it down to two and maybe three people. And I think over the next very short period of time I’ll be announcing it. It won’t be a big shock. It was sort of interesting, the way it comes out. And you’ve been talking about the various people on your show, which I watch absolutely almost all the time, even if it means TiVo or whatever device you happen to be using at the time.

DOBBS: We appreciate it.

TRUMP: But no, your show is fantastic. So I’ll be announcing this role over the next pretty short period of time.

DOBBS: All right. And you—

TRUMP: Do you have a preference, out of curiosity?

DOBBS: I do, and—

TRUMP: Tell me who your preference is.

DOBBS: I think I — may I constrain myself?

TRUMP: Yes.

DOBBS: Because an ad hoc adviser to the president—

TRUMP: No, but I’d love to hear it. You could even cut it out if you want. You don’t have to — I would love to hear you. I only want that from people I respect.

October 27, 2016: FBI Director James Comey releases letter on Hillary Clinton which most observers agree helped sway the Electoral College vote, and influence the results of the 2016 Presidential Election.

October 27, 2017: A federal grand jury in Washington DC approves the first charges in the investigation led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.: "The charges are still sealed under orders from a federal judge. Plans were prepared Friday for anyone charged to be taken into custody as soon as Monday, the sources said. It is unclear what the charges are."

As conservative Republican pundit Rick Wilson said: "Now you know why the horseshit uranium story was getting pushed so hard."

From what I understand, the main reason why charges like this are sealed, is to prevent the perp from fleeing the country.

This is as pathetic as it gets. OH! The irony! Lets see who has the balls.

.... How did that Russian collusion narrative turn out?

Everyone is colluding with Russia, except Trump. The Podesta Group, Hillary Clinton, the DNC, Obamas FBI. Colluding with the Russians to try to dig up dirt against your political opponent to influence an election is bad right? Really bad. When Trump jr met with that Russia lawyer, it was really bad right? It was TREASON! I mean lets get other peoples quotes to show how serious it was:

"Rick Tyler, a former top aide to the presidential campaign of Sen. Ted Cruz, Texas, said he would have called the FBI if approached by a foreign agent from an adversarial nation like Russia.

---

Michael Steel, a former top aide to the presidential campaign of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, said the presence of a campaign manager at such a meeting would be unusual.

“Aside from the candidate himself, the campaign manager’s time is among the most valuable resources for any campaign,” he told HuffPost. “So, yes, it would be very odd for the campaign manager to appear at a meeting with a more-or-less random foreigner claiming they’re peddling [opposition research.]”

---

Here’s George W. Bush’s ethics lawyer Richard Painter, cutting right to the chase:

"This is treason. He must have known that the only way Russia would get such information was by spying."

Its just.... its TREASON!

So in an attempt to gather incriminating material against Hillary Clinton, Trumpel jr. was willing to give away the US to Russia.

What's the sentence in the US for high treason?

I mean come on, only a deliberately and willfully ignorant partisan would look at this and think its justifiable to obtain damaging info on your political opponent from RUSSIA!

Only a deliberately- and willfully-ignorant partisan would look at this and think it's justifiable, or that it in any way has a counterpart on the Democrat side. Because as Rep. Eric Swalwell (House Intelligence Committee) said:

"...to receive damaging information from a representative of a foreign adversary -- that's a betrayal of our country... this is not like somebody who walks in and says 'I work in politics and I've got some information on your opponent.' This is somebody who is from Russia, where very often Russian nationals are connected to the Russian Intelligence Services, especially around politics, and so the fact that this wasn't passed along to the FBI or the Department of State also very much concerns me."

It's incredible to think that there are still people who reflexively support this, and who continue to characterize "collusion" as "no big deal, the other side did it too, and Obama! Hillary! Podesta! Emails!" It's not "merely" collusion. This is aiding, abetting, and participating in espionage against these United States, in pursuit of political power (and self-enrichment).

Lets keep going! Is it treason, a crime?!?!

Today, Politico asked the question:

"What Is Collusion? Is It Even a Crime?"
http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/07/12/what-is-collusion-215366

They asked many legal experts their opinions on the criminality of what happened. Some possibilities (emphases mine):

"For example, if Donald Trump Jr. sought “dirt” on Hillary Clinton from the Russians, he might be charged with conspiring to violate the election laws of the United States, which prohibit foreign nationals from contributing any “thing of value” to an electoral campaign." - Paul Rosenzweig, former deputy assistant secretary for policy at the Department of Homeland Security.

"Collusion is the descriptive word the news media has settled on to cover many potential illegal actions by the Trump campaign, which could range from aiding and abetting (18 USC 2) to conspiracy per se (18 USC 371) to conspiring to violate several potentially applicable laws like: 18 USC 1030—fraud and related activity in connection with computers; 18 USC 1343—wire fraud; or 52 USC 30121—contributions and donations by foreign nationals. Also, 18 USC 2381—for, contrary to a widespread belief that there must be a declared war, the Justice Department as recently as 2006 indicted for “aid and comfort” to our enemies, the form of collusion better known as treason." - John Dean, former White House Counsel to Richard Nixon

"There is also a crime called “misprision of felony” that means you know that a felony has been committed and you actively work to conceal the crime.... It would also be a crime for someone to offer to act in an official capacity, by repealing a law or discontinuing sanctions against Russia, in exchange for something of value." - Renato Mariotti, a former federal prosecutor

The forgotten man Tim Kaine on Trump Jr meeting - "we're now beyond obstruction of justice.... potential treason."

MSNBC - "the president himself is bordering on treason because all of them have sought out damaging information about Hillary clinton from the russians"

CNN - "...evidence of willingness to collude."

Debbie washerman shultz or whatever her damn name is - "...someone who is in the top tier of the trump campaign... colluded."

But now that Hillary, DNC have been caught red handed..... its no longer treason or none of that. Not a damn peep. Matter a fact, Keith Olberman or whatever the fuck his name is, who people here love quoting his crap, now says that Trump is the one who needs to shut up about Russia!!

BE HUMBLE! SIT DOWN! TAKE THIS LOSS!

And we need to keep repeating this: Russia tried to fuck with our election.

Imagine if Obama, Kamala, or Biden survived two assassination attempts and the media not publicly destroying the reputation of everyone who issued even the most mild criticism of them and then just dropping the story completely.

Yeah, I cannot either.

Pizzagate?

1st or 2nd article Google brought up. From CNN.com: "Trump alleges that Clinton had improper motives for approving the deal, but he raised that exact argument during the campaign and it was labeled by nonpartisan fact checkers as "mostly false." Add to that, Clinton was just one of 11 department heads who approved this deal along with head of the Department of Homeland Security and the Secretary of Defense."

The news source you posted earlier had nothing todo with democrats and Russia per se. The quality of your previous 3 posts have the quality of Pizzagate. Your meme is again one of the right wing Nazi extremist fake news websites. Now what?

High treason. If you insist on this you can certainly have it, but for everyone! Your yellow God included! But I'm pretty sure his goons can't wait to pull the trigger to protect their God.

Btw. does it ring a bell for you:
bribing for GOP presidential election party of Trumpelstizken, US oil company, Venezuelan oil company, Russian state / Russian oil company.

Where are the GOP to launch investigations here?

All I see what happens here is Trumpelstilsken deflecting attention from him, because Mueller bringing the first Trumpelstilskens involvement to court.
