More news:

In what's being hailed as the largest mass demonstration / protest in US history, AT LEAST 5.5 million people (most estimates are in the range of 7-8 million) came out for last Saturday's "No Kings" Day.
And everything was peaceful and non-violent - you can count on your fingers the number of people arrested, and most of those were dismissed without any charges being filed. You were probably safer in one of the big rallies than being elsewhere in the city.

Now I *know* some people are going to say they were all paid protestors. Let's say that a small fraction of them were "paid" by some super-secret cabal headed by George Soros (as is the claim). That's tens of thousands of people getting outside support. All it would take to blow the lid off the conspiracy would be for JUST ONE of them to come forward with proof of payment. Just one, out of tens of thousands.... Surely, if they were getting paid, one of them would be willing to break the Story Of The Decade?

And it's not like these things are organized in secret. Dates are announced weeks if not months in advance. All some enterprising social media journalist need do to break the story would be to ask one of the organizers "Ya know, I'd love to come and join you, but I really don't think I can afford to. Can you help me out?"

Speaking of scheduling, El Presidente decided that Saturday would be perfect for a show of force intimidation. He, along with the Secretary of Defense War ordered a "live fire" exercise to be conducted at Camp Pendelton in southern California. No big deal, those are done all the time at that base. But this time, the military would be firing howitzers from outside the base, OVER Interstate 5 - the state's largest and most used freeway.

Needless to say, Gov. Newsom was pissed. Especially since NO ONE in Sec. Hegseth's office would give him even the most basic details, other than assuring him it would be completely safe and he had nothing to worry about. Newsom closed that stretch of the highway anyway. Good thing, too - the VERY FIRST ROUND exploded prematurely, raining shrapnel down on the highway. Oops.......

Meanwhile, El Presidente's social media team was preparing an AI slop video to post as his official response to the rallies. It featured El Presidente wearing a cheap looking crown, flying a plane labeled "King Trump", and dumping ACTUAL SHIT (news media called it everything from "raw sewage" to "liquid waste") on Americans. You can find it out there, or at least plenty of news reporting on it.

Since it went out under Dear Leader's name, and there has yet to be any retraction, we have to assume it at least met with his approval. To have that much contempt for the citizenry....

Now I'm going to straight up ask StrikezOne if he can defend that.

I know they're going to say something about how some Democrat leader has in the past said something Not Nice against the Republicans. "Both Sides Do It" is NOT a valid defense. Because I'm sure that if Joe Biden posted a video of him as King Biden, dumping shit all over Americans, StrikezOne would be one of the first - and loudest - calling for (figurative) heads to roll. So why should Dear Leader get a pass?

Just to pre-empt Strikezone response, the crowd shots of Chicago protest have been verified to be true and not from a 2017 clip.

The Shrapnel did strike 2 of the Vance Motorcade as they were crossing the HWY, even after it was closed. That arsenal could have been sent to Ukraine instead for a stupid stunt to distract and intimidate the protest.

meanwhile Trump is destroying the east wing of the Whitehouse for his Ballroom.

Quoted at length because it's worth it:

"Trump: Bend Over East Wing, I'm Giving You The Trump MicroPenis" - "Wendy the Druid"

There's this particular smell that hits you when democracy starts to rot. It's not the sharp sting of tear gas from protests, not the musty stench of old documents being shredded in back rooms. No, it's the nauseating sweetness of concrete dust mixing with fresh-paved asphalt where roses used to grow, the acrid burn of diesel fumes from construction equipment that has no goddamn business being within a thousand yards of the White House. It's the smell of vandalism dressed up as renovation, of destruction marketed as improvement, of a douchebag with delusions of grandeur treating the People's House like his personal fucking Monopoly property....

Let me paint you a visceral fucking picture of what this dumbass has done to what's supposed to be our house, not his personal gaudy nightmare palace.

The Rose Garden—that historic space where presidents have announced Supreme Court nominees, where peace agreements were signed, where the scent of heritage roses would mix with the humidity of DC summers—is now a parking lot. I'm not being hyperbolic or metaphorical. That fuckstick literally paved it. Concrete and asphalt where Jacqueline Kennedy once walked, where Lady Bird Johnson planted flowers, where Michelle Obama grew vegetables. It looks like the patio outside a suburban Panera, the kind of soulless corporate landscaping that makes your eyes slide right past it because there's nothing living left to catch your attention.

The Physical Inventory of Catastrophe:

*  A rental backhoe—not even a professionally contracted demolition team, but a fucking rental—tearing into the East Wing like it's a crack house being condemned

*  Massive flagpoles jutting up from the White House lawn like the whole place is trying out for a role as a used car dealership having a going-out-of-business sale, complete with those novelty-sized American flags that scream "I'm compensating for something"

*  Cheap gold decorations slathered across the Oval Office interior, turning it into what looks like a Hilton Hotel banquet room where someone's racist uncle is having his retirement party

*  The complete obliteration of landscaping that had been maintained for decades, replaced with the kind of hardscaping you see at a strip mall in nowhere, Arizona

But here's where it gets even more infuriating, where my blood starts to boil hot enough that I can feel it pulsing behind my eyeballs: This cumstain promised everyone this summer that building his new personal ballroom—because of course he needs a fucking ballroom—wouldn't affect anything else at the White House. He said, and I quote, it "won't interfere with the current building." Everything else would be "left intact."

That lying sack of shit couldn't keep that promise for more than a few months before rolling up the heavy machinery and starting to literally rip down walls.

---

The Bottom Line:

Turdburg Trump is using a rental backhoe to demolish the East Wing, has paved the Rose Garden, doesn't understand what a tariff is, can't keep his numbers straight from one day to the next, obsessively mentions Biden even when meeting foreign leaders, claims to have solved zero wars while insisting he solved eight, and is treating the People's House like his personal property to destroy and rebuild in his gaudy, gold-plated image.

And that grinding sound you hear? That's not just construction equipment. That's the sound of American democracy being fed through a wood chipper while this shitgoblin lies about everything, changes his story constantly, and his administration either enables him or is too chickenshit to correct him.

The taste in your mouth—that bitter, burning sensation—that's not just the dust from demolished walls. That's the taste of watching something precious being destroyed in real-time while being gaslit about whether it's even happening.

The future smells like fresh concrete where roses used to grow, sounds like the beeping of rental equipment tearing down what we built together, feels like the rough texture of lies replacing the truth, and looks like a goddamn strip mall RV dealership where American history used to stand.

And if that doesn't make your blood boil, you're not fucking paying attention.

The East Wing has been completely demolished.

Wiped off the map.

Erased.

Obliterated.

Don't give me any crap about how other presidents renovated the place. They all did it with care and consideration for the building, and with the approval of everybody who might have had a say in the matter. And when Truman renovated the entire building, it was a NECESSARY renovation, because the place was literally falling apart and had become unfit for habitation.

The photo below is what it used to look like on the inside.

Given the speed of which the destruction happened, I'd be surprised if people were able to get the furniture and any personal items out in time.

You can forget about the paneling and marble floor tiles.

And did ANYONE bother to keep track of where the artwork went?

I'm betting that the Obama portrait is gone!

Let's see, what have the fascist thugs of the Trump maladministration been doing this week?

"Blind protester dragged, detained by feds says agents picked ‘the weakest person they could find’"
https://www.oregonlive.com/politics/2025/10/blind-protester-dragged-detained-by-feds-says-agents-picked-the-weakest-person-they-could-find.html

"Outrage after federal agents use tear gas just before Halloween parade in Old Irving Park"
https://www.fox32chicago.com/news/outrage-after-federal-agents-use-tear-gas-just-before-halloween-parade-old-irving-park

After that (one of several incidents in the Chicago area just this week where ICE agents deployed tear gas on demonstrators), Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker asked the feds if they could possibly be decent enough to pause their enforcement actions for just one day so the young ones could enjoy Halloween in peace....
https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/let-children-be-children-pritzker-asks-feds-to-pause-chicago-area-immigration-operations-for-halloween/3845344/

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem responded:
"The fact that Gov. Pritzker is asking for that is shameful and, I think, unfortunate that he doesn’t recognize how important the work is that we do to make sure we’re bringing criminals to justice and getting them off our streets..."

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/trump-administration/noem-rejects-illinois-gov-pritzkers-request-pause-immigration-enforcem-rcna240774

(The criminals are the ones working on your behalf, Secretary Noem......)

Meanwhile, in Los Angeles:

https://lataco.com/federal-immigration-agents-halloween-masks
Individuals wearing Halloween masks were observed by Harbor Area Peace Patrollers as they were leaving Terminal Island on Tuesday morning. This is the same area where DHS has been staging since immigration raids started.

L.A. TACO requested comment from the Department of Homeland Security on the use of Halloween masks by these federal immigration agents.

The following comment from Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for Public Affairs, was received in response by L.A. TACO:

“Happy Halloween!”

And they wonder why they get called fascists and Nazis.......

My town was devastate by ICE agent, they raided the grocery store, and Wal-mart, and schoolyard and pick off their parents leaving the kids behind, then there were very few trick or treaters, then did a judo flip on a elderly man, who wasn't resisting. They were hoping for a riot, and we didn't give them any. When do flip the house, their will be a lot of arrest, and they wont be immune to a trial, and no-one will hire them. These Agent are throwing their life away being the bad guys. There were over a dozen of **71**. My community is about 50% diverse.

But I have to say ICE wore the most scary costume and still look silly going after the weakest target.

You might remember that a few weeks ago, El Presidente went to Walter Reed for another checkup. It was said that it was his annual physical - except his last one was MUCH less than a year ago.

At the exam, he said he had an MRI and took an "aptitude" test - and bragged about how well he did.

Ummmm, an MRI is NOT part of a standard physical. It's a serious diagnostic tool; one that is not done willy-nilly. And that test he bragged about being an intelligence test? That was the standard test that's given to spot early signs of dementia.

If you paid any notice to his recent trip to Asia, and didn't just watch the edited highlights, you'd have seen someone rambling in his speeches, making little sense, and shuffling about like someone in a nursing home.

Earlier this week, someone spotted a sign outside the White House (see photo below). Zooming in (see the right hand side) showed that it was just printed on paper and taped up next to a door.

Commenters on the BlueSky post mentioning it noted that even the 3M company suggests using "sticky notes" to help older people with Alzheimer's remember things, so their caretakers don't have to keep answering the same simple questions over and over.
https://www.post-it.com/3M/en_US/post-it/ideas/articles/strategies-for-alzheimers-caregivers-how-post-it-notes-can-help/

Look, it shouldn't matter AT ALL what your political affiliation is.... His clear mental and physical decline - abetted by people around him refusing to acknowledge it - should be a matter of serious concern for everyone.
