He was pretty great in Parenthood (his debut, I *think*--and if you watch that, you can see why people saw it and thought "Wow, this guy has a future in the business") and surprisingly adequate in Something's Gotta Give, given the actors he was onscreen with. That's about all I can say for him, but I guess it's more than most can say.

"The Karate Kid" is under remake surgery right now, with Will Smith's son,Jaden,in the lead role.Since he's a lot younger than Ralph Macchio's character, expect the romance element to be phased out,and the violence will probably be less intense than before as well.

bwaaaahhh!

Remaking the Karate Kid is a stupid idea. They are not going to improve it over the original in any way. I also doubt they are going to come up with a clever angle, such as telling the story from Johnny's perspective.
They should probably consider remaking "the Next Karate Kid" instead. That movie has LOTS of room for improvement.

I dunno...Hilary Swank's wildly jiggly T&A left very little room for anything, improvement least of all.

On a different note, we have the Robocop remake to look forward to soon.

They are not going to be able to improve that either.

hi all.

It really gets my goat (and/or grinds my gears) that hollywood are re-hashing good films, it just shows that there is NO decent wrinting talant left (or right) today, just leave the films alone
