Their whole approach, their on-screen attitude and the sloppy test set-up all look like they were cultivating the eye candy.
The episode was first set to air in the middle of February 2014 and was pushed back six months. (for various reasons)
It really looks like a ratings grab.

Note: If sufficient numbers of people write in and complain about the testing, conclusions, etc. it is possible to motivate Mythbusters to release more findings, revisit the myth or even set up a different test. Hint Hint Nudge Nudge

On a site that calls the bit "Grotere Borseten = Meer Fooi"

In the posts on that site many of the same comments were raised about that segment.
There were even some that called into question the conclusiveness of the bit or the fact that women gave more.

Some others just talked about boobs - however from a much more European perspective.

Been a really long time since I posted anything, but I just discovered this episode of Mythbusters (which supposedly was pulled from airing because of the controversy), in which they test if bigger breast sizes equates to better tips for waitresses. As if they had pulled a scene from my fantasies, they chose to test this in the simplest way possible... by giving Kari a set of fake DDD's for one day and having her work at a coffee shop.

Now they aren't as big as I had hoped they would have saddled her with when I first heard about the episode, but it's a significant size increase, and the effect is even more pronounced in the bouncing motions. They even have her do a Baywatch style slow-mo run, which is truly a sight to behold.
