one time, in band camp...
actually it wasn't band camp, it was sunday school. the class was taught by the father of one of the other girls in the class. She happened to be a little bit stocky of build, and spectacularly hugely endowed in the chest. it was a very conservative church setting. I was sitting there in the class, and I have no idea what the class was talking about, i was just lost in thought. Mentally I was in my own world, just pondering things totally unrelated to anything in my surroundings. But I drifted back to reality when I heard the sunday school teacher (the girl's father) speaking to me with an annoyed tone. It was not until I arrived back at reality, that I realized that the entire time I had been lost in thought, my eyes, having their own agenda, had been staring directly into his daughter's cleavage. It probably didn't help that I had raised some questions in prior weeks about the morality of hating people of alternate sexual orientations. I have no idea how long I was staring, but I don't think my eyes moved the whole time i was lost in thought, and I can get lost in thought for pretty prolonged periods. I don't even know how many times the sunday school teacher spoke to me before he took on an irritated tone that pulled me back to reality.
I didn't keep going for long after that. I never found out exactly what the girl thought of it.

Anyway, in a relationship, staring isn't a bad thing IMO. At least not when there's a genuine mental gap between appreciating esthetics, and actually wanting to jump someone's bones. Mind you some people fail to make this distinction, but probably not someone I'd be dating.
