This thing was a one-off, which looked like a Mopar of the day, but wasn’t.  Darin bought it for what would be 1.2 million dollars in today’s money.

Each passenger had its own air conditioning.  I think you’d have to with all that glass. The headlights can hide behind the grille.

A 1933 Duesenberg SJ Phaeton which back in 2017 was sold at auction for $2.3 Million Dollars. If you've ever heard the expression, "It's a doozy", it is from these vehicles. They were at the time the most technologically advanced automobiles sold in the world and were made in Auburn, Indiana. No two Duesenberg cars were the same, they were all hand crafted and made for the very wealthy individuals who bought them. Their bodies were made of aluminum, which was a very exotic material at the time for automobiles and they had straight 8 engines with superchargers and four wheel hydraulic brakes, which were not common in cars of that era. Jay Leno has a few Duesenbergs and he loves them.
