Some of best memories from riding in a station wagon that I have was the rear facing rear seat in the back of station wagons when we kids could make faces to cars behind us and just play around. Nope, we didn't use/wear seat belts at the time, we could roll down the rear window and get fresh air and just enjoy the ride.

The Plymouth Barracuda, built from 1964 to 1974, had three generations, 1964 to 1966, 1967 to 1969 and from 1970 to 1974. A competitor to the Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro, it died in 1974 and I was hoping that sometime nowadays they might bring it back just like Ford has modernized the Mustang and Chevrolet the Camaro, but then Plymouth itself is dead anyways. Fifty years have passed since the last ones were sold at a showroom.

My first car was a 1968 Chevrolet Impala that I bought back in 1974, but it had the small block Chevy 327 cubic inch engine but there was a high-performance Impala at the time which was the SS (Super Sport) version which came with a big block Chevy engine of 427 cubic inches and a Muncie four speed manual transmission. There were not many built of this variety,38,000, but Chevrolet sold 711,000 Impalas back in 1968, making it the bestselling full size vehicle in the world.

A fantasy I have if I was able to get these vintage cars. 

Yeah, if I won the lottery, I'm sure I'd get one.  A very nice fantasy.   

Okay, borrowed this from the fantasy car thread.  Let’s say you won a lottery where you could buy any 3 vintage cars you wanted.  What would it be?

I think I’d like to have a convertible one of these again—1959 Imperial LeBaron.  Gotta think about the other two.  Post your answers one car at a time and include a picture please. Car must be 25 years old or more.

For many years, the Shelby Cobra, had the record from 0 to 100 Miles per hour acceleration record for almost 40 years. The body was made in England, but the engine was a Ford 427 cubic inch Cobra assembled in Los Angeles. They are still made but no longer in the People's Republic of California but here in Nevada since there is no personal or business income tax which saves money and there is a lot less regulatory hassle also since Nevada is a right to work State and the plant is near the Harry Reid International Airport.

That vehicle was used as a staff car during World War 2 by American Officers. Yes, there were others also used. Prior to the war, models like that, because of their huge trunks, were used by traveling salesmen.
