The Peugeot Darl’Mat was a sports and racing car of the era. It even saw a class victory at Le Mans in 1938. Underneath its gorgeous bodywork from Marcel Pourtout, this particular car is a Peugeot 402 Darl’Mat Legere… the lightest model with the biggest engine.

I’m pretty sure production of cars started up again after WWII ended.
I’m assuming you meant to say that the series 90 was the last American car with a V-16 engine, ‘cause there have been other cars with V-16s that were not American.  Also, topspeed.com says only 55 series 90 Caddies were made during that last year in production.

Another French beauty 1937 Citroen Traction Avant 11B Cabriolet designed by André Lefèbvre and Flaminio Bertoni.

André Citroën, who had achieved great success during the 1920s with the 5CV, introduced the front-wheel-drive model 7CV in 1934. This was immediately followed by the 11B, which was to become the flagship model of Citroën. Its front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout led to an innovative body design with a low center of gravity, with such advanced features as wide treads, a monocoque structure, and a front-wheel independent-suspension system. The 11B's roadholding ability surpassed even that of contemporary sports cars, and its excellent stability and ride comfort became the benchmark for all subsequent French cars

The Devaux Coupe & Roadster GM 350 V8 5.7 litre is a French Car made in Australia.

At first glance, anyone who knows about the country’s automotive design language will tell you it’s a French car from the 1930’s. Only to discover it’s built in Australia by an Aussie man.

The company started out in 2001 building their first production car, the ‘Coupe’. Named after the company’s founder’s mother’s maiden name (French ancestors) and inspired by the cars from the 1930’s, it beautifully reflects the extreme French curves of the era done by the coach builders from France and other cars from the same era such as the Bugatti 57 SC Atlantic, the Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 B Lungo and the Bentley 41.4 litre Streamline. From the narrow front grille, the swooping front fender, the long bonnet, the big round externally mounted headlights and the narrow pram wheels with multi wire spoke rims, it very much looks like a French car from the 30’s. David Clash (CEO and founder) started working on the Devaux since his teenage years. The original prototype was taken from an existing vehicle sub-frame and built on it. Later, it was built from the ground up as a production variant

There were only ten Bugatti Type 57 Roadster Grand Raid chassis ever built. This one, which Bugatti calls the Grand Raid Usine, was unveiled at the Salon de l'Automobile in Paris in October 1934. This one, chassis 57222, is also the only one with this dramatic Batmobile-esque aluminum body and unique paint scheme.

1937 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Touring Spider
By the late ‘30s, Alfa Romeo was well established as one of Europe’s top performance marques, having enjoyed a huge amount of racing success over the years. From these myriad victories, Alfa developed a series of road cars that have gained legendary status amongst collectors, including the “immortal” 8C 2900. Sporting an advanced, tech-laden chassis, a powerful eight-cylinder engine, and impressive coachwork, RM Sotheby’s calls the 2900 “the ultimate Italian sports car of its generation.”

Understood to be the very first built on 8C 2900B underpinnings, this example was displayed at the 1937 Paris Auto Salon. It can be distinguished from the later cars by the more steeply raked radiator and the horns built into the front fenders. Shown again at the early 1938 Berlin Motor Show, chassis 412020 also starred in the sales brochure. The car is believed to have remained in Germany and was spotted by a British soldier shortly after the War. A decade later it was acquired by an American sergeant and it eventually made its way to the United States in 1960.
