I apologize in advance if I post duplicate pictures in any of the picture threads I deal in.  My MO in getting pictures of one girl is to rip her Instagram.  That ends up with me having up to 2000 pics of her.  I've tried almost half a dozen duplicate finder programs, and none of them find all of the duplicates I inevitably end up with.

;D

Funny.  Must be a European meme.  Wasn’t it a Mercury Capri in the states?  I remember really wanting one in High school.
A Mercury Capri was my first car!  ;D
I'm a Chevy Man but there were some Fords that I did like.  :)

My dad was a Ford guy.  Every car or truck he ever bought was a Ford except for a Lifetime motor home he bought back in the late sixties.  My mother had such a terrible time with Fords that my first car was a Honda Civic and I stayed with Hondas for years until I had a family and needed a full-sized sedan.  The second gen Dodge Intrepid was such a gorgeous car that I changed to Mopars and have been buying them ever since, ‘though the transmission on my 200C is making me rethink that.

Anyway, here’s a great Chrysler concept car from 2000 that they should have built for real: the 300 Hemi C Coupe.

The most flamboyant Chevrolet Impala ever, the 1959 model, which for the era/year, wasn't so unusual. American cars had so much flair in those days. Most cars nowadays are boring in my opinion.  :)

If it hadn’t been for the Forward Look Mopars of ‘57, that Impala would have looked very different indeed.  Have you ever seen the sketches and clays that showed what the ‘59s were originally going to look like?  Basically like gussied up versions of the ‘58s.

So, I came across some images of what the ‘59 Buicks were originally going to look like vs what finally hit the market thanks to a wake up call from Chrysler’s ‘57 Forward Look cars.

The ‘59 Buick that we’re familiar with

Versus what they were going to look like originally, below…

The car that was unjustly killed by Ralph Nader, who claimed it was very dangerous, but he never attacked the Volkswagen Beetle which killed more people, because he hated GM. >:( 1962 Chevy Corvair. Built from 1960 to 1969, the car was a radical departure from your typical American car of the time.  :)

And the back of the original, below.  I mean, what were they thinking?  Thank God they were redesigned.

Neither have I, and at first I thought it might be AI, but googling it shows it was a real car.  I've got to give kudos to the creator for being able to engineer the dual steering apparatus.

This particular 1935 Duesenberg SSJ convertible was owned by Hollywood legend Gary Cooper. :) The term, "It's a Doocy" is derived from this car brand which was destroyed by the Great Depression. :'(
