One car I've lusted after since I was a teenager, the 1969 Chevrolet Corvette with a big block 427 cubic inch engine with 435 horsepower and which is a T-top and red color.
Years ago, I was a security guard at a car lot where they were taken off the trains and distributed to the dealerships. One time, a private shipment came through, and it had 3 of those era Corvettes in it. I took the opportunity to sit in one, one night, and imagined what it would be like to own and drive one. Never happened, of course.
