The first James Bond movie I saw was Goldfinger and this model Rolls Royce was one of the vehicles that were in the movie back in 1964 or 60 years ago. How time flies.

I remember back in 1967, my father drove a company car which was a Dodge Dart.

An economic muscle car of the era. This one had the 383 cubic inch V-8 and the standard one had the super reliable slant 6 engine.

You can tell it was patterned after the U.S. Air Force 100 series fighter planes of the 1950's.

The Pontiac GTO was the first designated Muscle Car back in the early 60's when a young engineer/manager of the Pontiac Division called John DeLorean convinced GM management to put a huge V8 engine into what was then considered a midsized car and he started the 60's muscle car era which was killed off in the 70's due to Federal government regulations.

1955 Lincoln Futura concept car

Here are some facts about the 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car:
Design: William M. Schmidt led the in-house design team, and a clay model was created at Ford. Ghia of Turin, Italy built the body.
Features: The Futura had a double-dome clear plastic canopy that opened and closed with the doors, a 300-horsepower V-8 engine, and push-button transmission controls. The cockpit had airplane-style gauges, including a compass in the center of the instrument panel and a speedometer mounted on the steering wheel.
Size: The Futura was 18 feet long, 7 feet wide, and 52.8 inches high.
Auto show appearance: The Futura was a sensation at auto shows in 1955.
Batmobile: In 1959, Hollywood customizer George Barris bought the Futura and turned it into the Batmobile for the 1966–1968 Batman television series.
He kept ownership of it, however.
Auction: The Batmobile was sold at auction by George Barris for $4.62 million in 2013, which is equivalent to about $5.63 million in 2022.
