This is the menu when I am logged in and where the login option is.There is no logout option there.

If you look at the blue bar at the top of the page, and put the mouse pointer on the large ? symbol, you should see a drop-down menu the last item of which is Logout.

tdotter, if you scroll to the top of the page, and rest your cursor on top of your username, you will see a dropdown menu. The last item on the menu is "Log out".

Examining the theme's default templates, it looks like the "user menu" that's shown when the screen is small was removed from the main template... :/

The code for that menu should be right where the BEA logo is displayed.

All the avatars are now round instead of square, I know its the style of the forum, but it plays havoc with the corners of my triangle (and a lot of other peoples where the edges have been cropped off).  Not a major problem though, just need to make a smaller icon that fits into a circle.

Yeah, that's not so much a bug as it is an "unfortunate feature".  I fixed it for you.

Note: in posts, the color of the "speech balloons" has been lightened, and text has been darkened to solid black.

What is the maximum height of avatars now, as some of them seem awfully large and take up a lot of screen real estate ?

Avatars are still 125x125pixels, but if you want the whole avatar to show up inside the circle, you need to leave about 10 to 15 pixels of margin on all 4 sides within the 125x125 square.

Images larger than 125x125 are automatically scaled down and their aspect ratios are maintained.

I think there might be a bug somewhere, this is what I'm seeing     (its an extreme example, just to show the size of avatars now, most are normal size)

<edit> I think it's because the large ones are attachments (http://forum.bearchive.com/attachments/xxx.jpg) and not avatars (http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php?action=dlattach;attach=xxx;type=avatar)
