A radical building for its time when built in 1889, the Chilehaus in Hamburg, Germany, was a ten Storey building. Unfortunately, it didn't survive World War 2 bombing.  :P

Built between 1869 and 1871 in Carson City, Nevada, which is the capital of the state of Nevada, it is considered a classic building.  :)

A view from the W hotel, which is part of the Mandalay Bay hotel and casino, and you can see the property I worked at for 21 years, The Luxor hotel and casino, the pyramid opened in 1993, and then you can see the Excalibur hotel and casino, opened in 1989 and at the time it was the first property with 4,000 rooms and biggest in the world then, and then you see the NEW York New York  hotel and casino opened in 1996 and then you can what was originally the Monte Carlo but now The Park hotel and casino opened in 1996. This is the South end of The Strip.

The Rampart casino is located inside the J.W. Marriot hotel about a two mile drive from where I live here in Las Vegas. It was built by a Swiss company back in 1998 but it didn't do too well, so they sold it to the Marriot corporation.

Back in 1998, I visited the US Naval Academy with my mother who asked me to see Washington D.C. and Baltimore since Mom was very patriotic, as a member of the World War 2 generation, and wanted to see how much it had changed since she visited it back in 1967 on a family trip we did and later on Mom suffered a stroke which left her invalid back in 2000.  :'( I haven't been back there since.  :(

In North central New Mexico in Taos County, there is a town you should visit if you go to New Mexico. Originally established in 1615 by the Spaniards on what was then an indian town, but it was formally established in 1795 by the Spaniards in their territory of Nuevo Mexico.
