OK, I've been thinkinig about this (probably too much).

In light of Palomine's comments, the car I'd pick for myself would be...

The Dodge Viper R/T!

Strong, refined and sexy, plus the above comments about the Cobra still apply ("hard ride" - LOL!  and "small")

COBRA! A tiny car with a gigantic engine.I believe it still has the fastest 0-100 MPH record for any car. It's still made and it's made right here in Vegas right by the racetrack and Nellis Air Force base (Makes sence since the F-22 Raptor will be based here).

Actually, if I remember right the fastest ever (both acceleration and top speed) stock production car was the Vector WM.  They're made to order, by hand, by the Vector corporation.  They go for something like 500G's, have a supercharged V12 engine, etc.  I don't know if they're still in business though, but I'm sure the info is out there if anyone cares to surf around for it.

Also, I'm kind of at a loss to understand why anyone would want to compare a woman with a car...  Cars are hard and metal and cold... women are soft and warm... :-)  I see that you all here are talking about engine displacements, speed, etc., and I suppose that is one way to think about it, especially the displacements...  But as for speed, hell, I'd rather go for a long, slow, comfortable and enjoyable ride with a woman, rather than one that's hard, fast, and over in a few...

Well Gizmowidget, the reason I started this thread wasn't because I think women and cars are the same or anything like that.Women are certaintily superior to pretty much anything. I was thinking about an emotional level. I've own 4 vehicles in the last 30 years since I got my first one, a 68 Impala fastback. Boy,was I proud! I got it thru the sweat of my own brow when I saved the money to buy a car. My first and only job I had till I joined the Navy was at a service station in Houston (Esso, now Exxon on Wilcrest and the Katy freeway) from 71-75 and the owner told me he wanted to sell his car and said I could buy it for $800. Minimum wage then was $1.25 so it took a little while. I got it in 73 and it was in fine shape. It had a 327,4 barrel carburator and 275 horses. A big back seat to get your date in the mood and it was mine!It was destroyed when I was stationed In Hawaii. I was out at sea somewhere in the Indian ocean and it was in storage on base and these 2 clowns stole it,got **92** and drove it off the Pali highway and 50 feet down, killed the car and themselves. Serves them right, the 2 assholes .I miss it because it was my first car,the place where I finally got the young Lady to go all the way ( no names please, she'd like to keep her good reputation )and other fond memories. So when I compare women to cars,it's because I LOVE THEM BOTH.I now own a 97 Silverado ( I'm 5'5" tall, guess I'm compensating) and it's been a peach,no problems. So I'm trying to compliment the Ladies in a way I believe that exalts them and I mean no harm.

Solvegas - THIS is compensating...Hee!  Before I had the Dodge, I had a Ford Power Joke crew cab (I call it a Power Joke instead of a Power Stoke because it couldn't get out of its own way, and it was sold to me as a tow vehicle).

Chronicler - The Hummer wasn't THAT bad...I had actually considered it, but the only thing I have in common with it is the name...Hee!
