C'mon you guys, Colette is right. What's the big deal? You're being too hard on (!) Jennifer. Now, if I were Collette's boyfriend/husband, do you think I'd be able to keep my hands off her? Now imagine if she felt the same way about herself ... could she get anything done during the day? Maybe not realizing your body's true appearance is a defense mechanism, like those chemicals that excrete in your body to deaden pain in times of severe shock.
Oh, by the way, Collette, will you marry me!!
Sorry, got carried away there.

sigh

Does it really matter if she thinks they're just fat?  Technically, breasts, or boobies for the air-head-advocates, are just what she said they were.  But that is the beauty behind our fixation isn't it?  Just two (2 is simple) objects made out of fat (mostly fat; simple) that have a fairly plain appearance (no tatoos or paths to dry land or anything; simple) and manifest themselves in a round shape (simple).  Wow!  Does this draw an attractive bosom in our heads?  Now aside from the size v. body issue, I really could not care less if a girl or woman decides to ignore our passion for some good ta-ta's, then let us tip our hats in a half-hearted agreement and continue to stare at examples of sexual attractiveness.

BTW: Big pouches?  Aren't some of us guilty of that area of expansion?  Who here considers pregnant women lookers?  I'm just teasing, but the point is that the most popular activity here does not involve any higher brain function.  Think back to the times that you find arousal while veg`ing out.  Maybe it's the diversion of blood... Maybe it's something else... Who cares... Someone else continue this discussion, I'm getting, -ahem-, distracted.

Heh... is there like a "Runners Up" place for that in case Ekim doesn't respond?  Some fine print that reads like:

"All prizes will be awarded.  In the event the grand prize(s) aren't claimed, it will be awarded to the second place winner."

If so, I want to be the first in line for that position

Just fat Jennifer?

True, the breasts are mostly made up of fat and come in pairs.  The brain is also mostly made up of fat and come in two hemispheres.  It's only fitting my brain would like breasts.  The bigger they are, the farther away I can see them.

But of course, my brain has already been fried.

Help! I can't stop staring at her tits.

The following message is aimed at those of you who have been putting Jennifer Love Hewitt down. The rest of you are fine by me, and this doesn't apply to you.

OK, I hate to be the voice of dissent here, but I for one actually -like- Jennifer Love Hewitt, and I think maybe all this name-calling has gone a bit too far. I mean, who among us hasn't said an off-hand comment, half jokingly, which if taken out of contect and psycho-analyzed as being at the core of our personality make-up, wouldn't make us look a little flaky? OK, so I can accept that Jenni Love doesn't understand -why- guys are so fixated on breasts in general, and perhaps hers in particular. I don't understand how gravity works. I understand -that- it works. But I have no idea why. She doesn't get why guys are obssessed with tits. Fine. Leave the poor kid alone, willya?

And for the record, I personally think that she is (a) extremely beautiful, not only in the face, but in the whole figure as well. (Dissenters are encouraged to go see "Heartbreakers"). (b) I think she's a very skilled actress. Not just a good actress; a very good actress. True, some of the projects that she has gotten involved in have been a little...dodgy. But that's bad writing, not bad acting. There IS a difference. She always portrays her characters well, with depth and range of emotion, and she never seems to be an actor playing a role, but rather she seems to be the character she is portraying. That's good acting. (IMHO, the largest difference between Original Series Star Trek and Next Generation was that in the Original Series, you were watching Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and the others run around and do stuff. In Next Gen you were watching a bunch of actors playing people running around talking about doing stuff). And (c), I think she has a wonderful singing voice. I own two of her albums.

OK, now go ahead and make with the character assassinations on me, if that's what it takes to make you guys feel better.

Now we have Input Jack comparing Jennifer Love Hewitt to Star Trek? ROTFLMAO A truly inspired analogy. That sure brings everything into perspective, a trekker point-of-view! Now that's really being crazed, obsessed and off-the-wall. Does that mean Kirk would bang the heck out of sweet ensign JLH? Are you imagining princess in a tight red starfleet uniform and leather boots? "Reporting for duty, sir!"

But there's more!! Oh look, princess not only has a nice rack but she can act and sing too! I hear she's a real nympho in bed and she gives great head too!!! Too bad Input Jack won't be getting any.

I'm on YOUR side, Jack, both on JLH and "Star Trek."

"Speaking as a feminist myself, I think that [Jennifer Love Hewitt] is sweetly pretty, and I'd like to protect her."

Ten points for getting the reference. Another ten points for coming up with the proper response line.

The thought that JLH and Star Trek (TOS OR TNG) would even come in the same paragraph just turns my stomach.

But, hey, that's why this country is so great.  We can have differing opinions and it's OK.

I'm not switching sides, though.  I still JLH is a no talent hack getting by on her looks.  She has a look that appeals to the masses.  I personally don't find her all that attractive, but then I've never had "typical" tastes in women.

It's good to have a different point of view in the thread, though.

Jodie Foster is a very good actress. Now, honestly, can JLH compare as far as acting skills? Um, no. JLH is not as bad as, say, Melanie Griffith or Sean Young, but she's not good, much less very good. However, we all have our own opinions. For example, I was very pleased with Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider. Sure, they could have gotten others to play the role, women whose physical traits more closely resembled the video game character. But when it comes to action movies, especially ones where the main character is female, you need someone who can act. For example, Long Kiss Goodnight would have been much better if the producers had cast someone other than Geena Davis (another actress I think is very overrated). I thought Jolie did a very good job bringing to life a video game character (granted, I've never played the game, so I'm viewing this with a different perspective than most). Sorry to stray off topic, but I think we've beaten the JLH topic to death anyway.

Well, set my phaser on stun!

Do you really think we've done JLH to death yet?

Input Jack has taken the whole discussion to a new level.

At this point, I wouldn't be convinced its over until Leonard "Bones" McCoy proclaims: "She's dead, Jim"!!!

Full speed ahead, warp factor 9!!!!
