Well, maybe not ever... but certainly the best one that I can remember.

It made me laugh when sci-fi lameness - Enterprise - got axed by UPN. As I've been lead to believe that Ronald Moore - one of the executive producers on Galactica was given a raw deal by the two of the world's stupidest people Berman and Braga, who have made Star Trek little more than the televisual equivalent of a cookie cutter.

Galactica has restored my faith in science fiction to be - as they say - simply a backdrop for a story to unfold in. There's no recalibrating the phase neutron regulator of the quantum coffee cup or repolarising the photonic toliets antimatter differential.

It's so convincingly dark and gritty - not even B5 or Farscape ever quite managed to get that sort of feel over. Quite likely because they never teetered on the brink of utter racial annhilation.

Obviously not quite the same show as the original but its still Galactica and so much more involved. Watch it.

Well Ten, as there aren't many opinions I respect more than yours around here...I will certainly give it a watch. Too bad about Enterprise...while it certainly did SUCK, it probably had the most potential of any of the recent series...man did they drop the ball.

I agree to.  1 of the best.  Some poeple are mad cause its a new make from the original.  I think they are doing an excellent job on it.  Last nights episode was great.  If fact, from 7-11 is probably the best section of Sci-Fi ive ever seen.  Star Trek has slipped and now it seems it fell on its face.  Shame to happen to a great series.

I agree, this is a quality show.  It most resembles '24' as it shows people at the breaking point and wrings the most tension out of every situation.  Despite the budget, production values are high, even if the landing deck is a disguised B.C. Ferry deck.

Please, MW - don't compare galactica to Firefly - I'd rather have my family be exposed to some pure chlorine and die a slow painful death, because quite frankly, and my hatred of the putrid pit of mediocreness that is Firefly, actually my hate is wasted on that aborted fetus...

Suffice to say Dick - and good to see you here, although obviously sad that the cuntitude of the forums made Jane leav- , I sincerely say that everyone should watch this show - Enterpise getting cancelled wasn't a suprise. The fact it lasted so fucking long is.

Galactica is quite possibly... everything Trek wants to be but never could be.

If you missed it, download it. God has a plan for all of us, which is for you to watch this show and find out what your role is.

I initially hated the cylons as humans idea - now i love it. This is without question one of the best shows, ever. As I said, it proves that sci-fi is just a genre. Not to mention that when you get to the end of the season (a scant 13 episodes minus miniseries) fucking hell you'll shed a tear.

Battlestar Galactica blows chunks big time. Yuck.

The original version was absolutely corny and the new version moves so slow it will put you to **82**.

Bringing it back was a mistake.

The Cylons have taken over television long ago and you don't even know it.
