P.S. Speaking about difficult decisions, how are they going to deal with Delgado's free agency? It's not like you can easily get a first baseman that can do what he's doing.

Delgado {Mets} is having one killer month of July, he done swat for May and June. Let's wait and see what he does in August and September to judge a new contract.
Every baseball player has one great month in the season, which he can't do any wrong and one bad one, that he just wants to forget about.

Jump ahead much?  Looks good now....I say wait.  Mets should especially do so.

Phils are on a downturn, Mets are doing well despite their pitching.  This won't continue for long, so time will tell.

Mucking Fets' bullpen implodes on them, so they're in the lead by a half game over the Phils, 1 game over the Marlins.

Mosh pit will ensue.

So the Cubs finally decide to start scoring runs on the road.  Couldn't come at a better time, too, taking the first 2 of a 4-game set with Milwaukee.

The Trade Winds blow through!

Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez goes to the Yankees! Ken Griffey Jr. to the White Sox! Manny Ramirez to the Dodgers and Jason Bey to the Red Sox!!

Who will win? We know what they look like on paper...

Looks like the Cubs are trying to make a statement of their own, completing a 4-game sweep over the Brewers.  It seems that Soriano's return to the lineup has sparked the offence.

... and wouldn't you know it, the Cubs get shut out by the Pirates the very next day.  At Wrigley.  Must have had one too many celebratory Budweisers the night before.

Yankees lost a heart breaker of a pitchers dual between Ervin Santana and Sidney Ponson of eight scoreless innings. Mariano Rivera gave up the only run in the game on the top of the ninth.
Well that the breaks, when the Angels is red hot

Skankees won't get anything better out of Ponson, ever.  I snicker in the face of their losing, and Rivera giving it up again.

The Big Unit also won #293.

Phils lost, but the Mets and Fish did too, so overall it's much ado about nothing.  Reset.

The Rays tied their home wins record with their 41st in a 5-2 win over the Tiggers last night. They are also approaching their single-season mark for total wins.
