I was doing a presentation at a surgical conference titled "Making Sterilization Sexy" (Rolls off the tongue, huh?) and since it was down near SaRenna's home turned it into a visit and then decided I needed a photo for the presentation. . .

Just that she had been battling a really bad illness. I am shocked and saddened.  From everything I heard about her she was a wonderful soul.  How could this happen?

In this world, bad things can happen to good people.  We just have to mourn and move on.

She packed a lot of living into her 5 and a half decades.  One of the last conversations with her we were discussing all of the stupid shit we did in our 20's and 30's and that it was a miracle we made it past that.  SaRenna did amazing things and had amazing experiences and she lived her life as the driver of it.  At the end, she still had some good times (somewhere out there is a person who kept staring at the blonde chick in the ball cap and sun glasses at Falling Water a year and a half ago, the last big road trip I got to take her on before she wasn't able to, and I wish I could tell him "yup, that was her") and she passed away in her **82** with her family with her for Easter weekend.

I find it so great that she loved having her fake boobs beyond the fame and fortune, but for how they made her feel about herself.
