She did dodge his questions, pretty much all his hard-hitting questions, and that's pretty deplorable.

Thank you!!! All that is asked is that we be a little more open minded here! You can keep supporting Hillary and that's fine but at least raise those eyebrows when something doesn't fit right. Some people can't seem to do that.

However I don't trust anything from WikiLeaks, just as I don't trust anything related to James O'Keefe.

Neither does CNN

Imagine if Obama, Kamala, or Biden survived two assassination attempts and the media not publicly destroying the reputation of everyone who issued even the most mild criticism of them and then just dropping the story completely.

Yeah, I cannot either.

Well.... They use information from one specific poll (Reuters/Ipsos) and assume that it applies to ALL polls. A bit biased, there, perhaps? One might take them more seriously if they didn't refer to the Democratic candidate with a misogynistic epithet ("thecunt"). Seems like they are looking for anything to support their preconceived belief that if Clinton is winning, it's because she's cheating in some way.

By the look of that poll, it seems there should be no one at the Trump rallies and their will be so few Trump votes, Hillary should get 90% of the vote.

IMHO - A working man voting for Trump, is like a chicken voting for Col. Sanders. The one from Kentucky Fried Chicken, not Vermont...  ---> Later, Triumph

Turns out there are valid reasons for oversampling. Let's say you want a statistically valid sampling of Latinos in your poll. But there aren't enough in your main sample of 1200 people on your list. So you add enough people - preferably Latino - to bring the total number up to something valid. And if the population segment that you're interested in happens to be primarily Democratic, well....

And the pollsters know what this does to their overall numbers, and take it into account......

Oversampling is not "rigging"; it's a standard, valid technique in statistical surveying. There's nothing shady or deceptive about it. It's done to increase accuracy, not to influence results.

After you oversample, you scale down the oversampled result to the percentage of Latinos (to continue rtpoe's example) sampled in the original (pre-oversampling) poll.

Of course, the oversampling results are significant by themselves: they show a more accurate picture of the opinions of the oversampled subgroup than you obtained in the original survey. But in a survey of two or more subgroups, results of oversampling one subgroup are only significant after they've been scaled down to the original proportion of that subgroup within the total respondents to the original survey.

Charts that show oversampling results appear to be misleading because oversampling isn't the end result of the survey process. But people who claim they're deceptive don't understand what oversampling is.

Meanwhile, everyone is in a tizzy.....

1. FBI Director John Comey sends a letter to a few key congressmen - chairs of committees, mostly. In this brief and guarded letter, he notes that an investigation in a completely unrelated matter turned up some e-mails that might have bearing on the Clinton e-mail kerfuffle. So he just wants to give them a heads up, in case anything relevant is found. Comey quite clearly states that he is doing this just as a friendly note, which is understandable given how Congress grilled him this summer and he'd probably not want to get accused of "hiding" anything.

Quote
"We don't ordinarily tell Congress about ongoing investigations, but here I feel an obligation to do so given that I testified repeatedly in recent months that our investigation was completed," Comey said. "I also think it would be misleading to the American people were we not to supplement the record."

2. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, who is a known Clinton hater (he's stated that he intends to launch years of investigations of Clinton ("Even before we get to Day One, we've got two years' worth of material already lined up. She has four years of history at the State Department, and it ain't good.", he told the Washington Post)) tweets "'The FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation.' Case reopened".

3. The media go bonkers, screaming that the e-mail investigation is reopened. Which is NOT true.....

4. Trump jumps on it while the Clinton campaign staggers in shock.

5. Details come out. Seems that the FBI's investigation of Anthony Weiner's sex scandal found that his wife, Huma Abedin, used the same laptop that he did for some of her e-mail. Since Abedin is a key Clinton advisor, the FBI naturally wants to give those e-mails a look.

6. Media outlets quickly edit their headlines....

7. Clinton, her campaign, and several Democrats rip Comey a new one for being so careless as to let this get out so close to the election.

8. Comey wishes he made a different career choice somewhere along the line.....

Personally, I don't think this will have much effect. At least not enough to make Drumpf president. I'd wager that A) There won't be anything new revealed and 2) people have had so much of this e-mail mess that they've already made up their minds about it and won't be swayed by anything new.
